Thats suposed to happen. Some areas are meant to be so hard that you cant enter them till later on in the game
You're probably right, but there was that mission in the legion where I had to kill like 10 bandits guarding a fort, and I had to hide around corners and take them 1-2 at a time. I wanted to boost my magic skills at the mages college, but all that's happening is a load of missions to find things. You get in the college, they teach you one lesson, then **** happens and you need to do a load of missions. w/e I'm level 10, what's everyone else?
Omfg you're not going to believe this ****!! I was fighting a dragon, just shooting it with arrows, it landed and I just continued to dodge it's fire and shoot it from the top of this hill, but I accidentally fell off the hill, and landed near the dragon, so I started to run away... I looked back and there was a Giant kicking the **** out of the Dragon hhahhaahaahaha!! The BFG saved me!! So managed to get the last shot in and got the XP for killing the dragon, then I finished off the weakened Giant. My skills went up. I got **** all from the Giant, a ****ing toe and 108 gold. Claimed the usual dragon soul from the dragon.
So far I can quite confidently say it's one of my favourite games ever released. Did you play Oblivion HMT? It's just that you seem almost surprised that Skyrim is so good. Shadow of the Colossus is way out in front as my favourite. Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3 are in the mix along with the likes of Mass Effect, Abe's Exoddus, Secret of Monkey Island, Knights of the Old Republic, Grim Fandango, GTA Vice City, Shenmue, Oblivion and now Skyrim. Yesterday I performed an execution on a dragon. Had his heath down low and charged in for one last hit while he was landed. Pressed RT then to my surprise my guy swings up onto his head, hangs on while the dragon tries to shake him loose then drives his sword right through its brain. AWESOME!
I played Oblivion, I liked it, but even though I thought it was good, It's still not a patch on Skyrim IMO. I didn't really complete Oblivion mate. I got really bored and frustrated after closing like 34 Oblivion gates. It was a good game but I just got bored of it after a bit. Skyrim is one of my favourite games ever. My favourite games - In no order - Skyrim Halo 2 xbox live back in the day gears of war - it was epic when it first came out Half Life 1 and Opposing Forces - Amazing games, especially when they first came out. Couldn't believe my eyes playing it back in the 90's, when i was only a nipper Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers - Seems really dated now, but when it first came out for the PS2 i jizzed for the first time... and I was only like 10/11 haha Diablo 2 Dungeon Keeper 2 - Great game back in the day. Still have it somewhere in the attic probably.
Does anyone know where to go in Skyrim to learn more advanced spells? I've found a few wizards/mages selling magic spells but they only sell the first 2-3 on the scale. Where do you go to find the beastiest ones?
Doubt you'll be able to use them until your skill gets higher anyway. I'm not sure though, been kind of wondering that myself for when my character gets stronger.
Won't be playing an RPG til Diablo III is released. Blizzard are pissing me off though with their usual "The release date will be when the game is finished" bullshit Anyway Skyrim doesn't interest me as there's no online play.
CoD4 was ****ing class online. MW2 and MW3 have been good but none have been as groundbreaking as CoD4. Which was so much better than Halo 3 as well! And I put well too many hours into LotR round my mates house
I can acknowledge how COD 4 reshaped the fps genre but to say it's one of the best games ever is a bit over the top, especially since about 70% of people only like it for the online. I liked Return of the King but I wouldn't put it in my top 10 games. I could never name a best game of all time but I could name one for individual genres. RPG: Mass effect (1 or 2) Fantasy RPG: Oblivion/Skyrim Turn based RPG: Usually hate these games but I personally liked lotr the third age FPS: Battlefield 2 or Goldeneye for the sake of creating a genre RTS: Rome Total War MMORPG: Has to be WOW even though I only played it when I was younger Action Adventure: Assassins Creed? Sandbox: GTA San Andreas Best platformer: Torn between Spyro and Crash Bandicoot Indie: Minecraft *Sigh* I need a life... feck it, extra awards... Let down award: lotr conquest Died out with a whimper award: Destroy all Humans Awesome possum award: TF2 Unsatisfying conclusion award: Mafia 2 gah, must sleep.
