Sorry to cause confusion, I didn't think I put sprint in the title till just now. Pole closes before Quali on FRIDAY and the pole is for who wins Sundays race.
I have just realised what you meant by 'I put SPRINT' I put it in the title so people would be aware that this weekend was a Sprint format. I can now see that it is misleading. I will change it, cheers.
Just Googled weather for spa francorchamps circuit and it looks like a very wet weekend. Heavy on Friday too,and there`s only one practice (FP1) before sprint quali. Don`t like the idea of making Spa a sprint weekend anyway,it`s too good for that.. What about dropping silly sprint format and having just a normal GP?
Max on his 5th gearbox so 5 place grid drop. I think they chose this circuit though so expect them to be way out front.
So Max won`t be leading the race until,what lap? Should have a poll on that. But I wish the other drivers would show some backbone and defend as hard as they have ever done,instead of this ,oh I`m not really racing him I`ve got my own race against so and so and then almost pull over and wave him past.
Lap 2 he will be in the lead. I can understand the other drivers letting him past as the Red Bull is probably close to 1 second a lap faster. Why risk a crash with Max when he is going to get past anyway? It's just not worth it. Pity as we all want to see good battles and currently we are not getting that!
IF there is a race Verstappen will win. he's taken a 5 grid place penalty for extra gear box. He could take all the full penalties and laugh at us frankly and still win I really hope it is only that wet for next 3 days..

Do Alpine not trust either of their drivers to try both wet tyres? Seems mad not to do even 1 lap on both tyres.
