You're in god's country then. Elan Valley or further west? Hope you're enjoying it.
Looking forward to the building updates <ok>

I'll have to confess that his surname is a well known part of the country rather than the country itself to which it belongs.

Well, Georgia Stanway counts then. Stanway being here in Gloucester (I think).
Yes, I'm clutching at straws now.

Well he is British and I think has played (and still plays) all his football in the UK.

So for clarity, his first name is also that of a country and his surname is that if a region within a country?

Yes, his Christian name is a full country and his surname is often regarded as country in it's own right but is actually just part of another.

We're just below where the river elan joins the wye, about 3 miles south of Rhayader. The Wye runs at the botton of the garden.

Here's the dog checking the river level from the bedroom.

C'mon guys, you can do better than this - he's hardly unkown and we were linked with him at one time.

Here's a clue - "the seven wonders of the ancient world"........ and his name isn't Pyramid or Babylon either!.........<laugh>

I know it's not right but just for place names then Ross Berkeley would work (and very topical too)...
    Both around Clingo's area...

Not sure I'd consider Ross on Wye to be one of the wonders of the world though, at least not for the right reasons anyhow!!

Got it now though... Very hot topic too at present.

    Jordan Rhodes???

EDIT: Just noticed my opening statement was a bit too confident.

    I THINK I have it.

    Point of order:
Fully accept that Jordan is a country, but who has mistaken Rhodes for a country?
I feel led up the garden path!
