    makes sense as they are trying to make this as short as humanly possible.


    personally I'm wonder where are we at now, we've hardly kicked a ball compared to other clubs who've been playing full sides and 60mins and are 4 or 5 games I to preseason.

    either we will look completely under baked or the extra time in tactical work will pay off. only time will tell I guess.

    it'd be nice just to see us really on it for a game or two before the cheslea match

    yeah the lack of games and how much , or rather little, time some players have had on the pitch is to say the least a tad worrying .

    I would have liked your post but that isn't happening for a Cheslea post <grr>

    Can only assume been a lot of focus on the tactics and generic fitness rather than actual match play.

    Didnt city only play 1 pre season game last season before the community shield?

    I’m sure the fitness gurus and analysts all know what they’re doing and have it planned out.

    We’ve played 2 pre season games. Not sure any others have played that much more? United arsenal Chelsea played 2 or 3 I believe?

    like us the previous season they finished late so preseason starts late .
    My worry more than the number of games is the intensity / quality of the ones we have played.

    I'm sure the people responsible have taken all this into account. They're not a bunch of amateurs, though you would be forgiven for thinking they are, going on some of the criticism from the fans.
    I agree in that I don't even know that many of these pre-season games are worth it, given the level of the opposition so far and the constant changing of the team. I don't suppose a whole lot can be learned that couldn't be learned from organised training games.
    The far-Eastern games are as much a PR exercise as anything else, though I'm hoping for a more realistic line-up in the next two games, both from us and our opponents.

    How did Bradley do as RB? Do you think Klopp really is eyeing him for more appearances next year; more than just one or two appearances in odd cup games (as in, a legitimate first team player)

    He played in games in Germany.

    Also apparently set to sign a new contract so either protecting his value before another loan or will get some proper game time.
