Aussies playing not to lose. 8 runs in the last half hour. England not going to take 20 wickets if the convicts are not interested in scoring. Simply don't get out. This game will be like watching 11 Boycotts bat, while thinking at the same time Boycs by comparison played Baz all.

Moheen won't take the field today.

Essentially 2 bowlers down as Stokes probably won't be risked, unless he's prepared to bowl some off-spin.

If the current 2 Aussies dig in, it could be a long day.

    Need an early wicket.

Doesn't look like happening, disappointing end to the series in prospect.
I'd have thought Root would bowl given Moeen's injury?

Marnus, 9 runs from 81 deliveries

Usmsan, 37 runs from 123 deliveries.

Chris Tavare will be knocking one out over this.

    Marnus, off you go son………

9 from 82. Compared to the lightning rate of scoring, 37 from 124 by kajagoogoo.
    What a catch by Root

Just lip read Marnus telling the umpire it was to dark to bat just before he was out.

    Typical whinging Aussie.

Watched it again a few times, it was going like an exocet missile, JB would have hardly seen it.

Not The Ashes, but - Yorkshire cricket racism sanctions: fined £400,000 and issued an immediate 48-point deduction in the 2023 County Championship, as well as a four-point deduction from the 2023 T20 Blast.

What's with the BBC's overly negative headlines that bear no resemblance to what's actually happening? "Australia grind England down"

Oh ****, I thought, sounds like another bad day. Check the score, 240-8 and a good chance of us getting a small lead
