Maybe he wanted to repay Brighton for their faith in him? Stranger things have happened. Sincerely hope the mason holgate rumours are fake news. Guy is terrible from what I’ve seen
So, so terrible. At a push, I can take a one season loan with no obligation to buy - because at least we wouldn't then be lumped with him after that. But I'd prefer we'd stay well clear.
I was listening to the second tier podcast, and the guys on there where saying, that if Stewart at Sunderland, or whoever he plays for stays fit. He will score 25 goals this season!
Tbh I haven't seen him a whole lot apart from YouTube comps, but he looks very Lavia-esque, in that he's strong, quick, and technically very smooth. Looks really difficult getting the ball off him. A description often seen in comments is 'a more defensive Pogba-type'.
Thought this was a telling/amusing line: “There are players who have a Premier League market and players that think they have a Premier League market – managing this is a really tricky cocktail.”
I've got indigestion just at the thought of Lavia in a Liverpool kit. At least we wont have to see him turning up against us (cup draw just confirmed). Poch I at least like.
Lavia was great. Loved watching him and a lone bright spark in an awful season. But in effect he was just a loan, a business transaction. We will make £20m or so on him all told and he'll go on to be remembered for whoever he plays for next. On that basis I've no real preference or dislike for wherever he goes. It was good business in a season I'd much rather forget.
