One would think that these additions are largely going to be wingers. Maybe a CM as well. Bar the GK of course

    Why?

They were 4th best defensively and 9th overall in the 28 games Rosey was in charge. That's with last year's poor recruitment and having no strikers for the last 9 games.

I think we still need a GK, CB, LB, CM, winger and striker in so another 6 at least regardless of who goes. If any of the expected strongest 11 leave they would need replacing too.

The 3/4 currently being touted would probably be a GK, another winger, no 10 and another forward.

If Greaves goes then we need another left back and another centre back.

Then there's the probability of Longman, Woods, Fleming and perhaps doc leaving. Wouldn't rule out Allyor Sinik for a price either.

If Oscar goes then we need at least another 2 forwards, and a marquee signing amongst them.

Connolly and Delap will definitely be 2 of the 3/4 strikers, but i think Aaron may end up in contention wide if needed also.

Connolly and Delap up front will wind up opposition defenders something chronic…they are two thugs and I absolutely love it.

I was at the Scunthorpe game in the Scunny end (due to business) and Delap is definitely not frightened of putting his weight about. Their RB (Ogle) got aggressive with Vinagre and a couple of minutes later Delap absolutely nailed him. Brilliant.

Someone on Twitter is mentioning Ross Barkley, could he be the “English talent”?

Not sure I'd call him 'young'. I thought Acun described him as an emerging talent.

Question.... if they're not good enough for us, the one's mentioned, what makes you think clubs will be battering on our door to take them. And above you said the full backs are sorted and you have Flemion gin the out pile when we have given up on Cox..

The other thing with this leaving it late bit is, Rosenior wants to play a particular way, if we're already into the season proper by the time they arrive, they will have to get up to speed physically, try to learn the play, then be drip fed into the first team. It could be October/ November by the time they're 'with' the programme.

I’m just waiting for him to use the excuse ‘he didn’t have a full preseason’ when a player is playing poorly in March. He loved using that last season.

There's a month of the window left, even a player signed of the final day of the window will only miss four league games and anyone we sign will have had a full pre-season, just not with us.

There seems to be a lot of glass half empty types on here at the moment.

Did the players we signed last summer also have a full pre-season, just not with us?

A lot of them supposedly didn't have a proper pre-season.

I think there's a lot looking with blind optimism.

Got to admit I'm one of them ATM and I'm normally extremely positive, I'm just not getting a good feeling ATM, something just doesn't feel right.

We're a week out from the season and they still haven't told us how to subscribe to Tigers+. Getting pretty pathetic at this point.
