reading the article it seems more of a chance of Martin coming back. I'm ok with that. Going to need his experience in what looks to be a tough season ahead
I'm not against Martin coming back to be honest cerrainly as cover and importantly a loud experienced voice in the dressing room. Plus we know he can get on the end of a cross which might be fruitful if Paul Smyth hasn't died.
I see Whatmough has left Wigan after repeatedly not being paid. I'd hope we'd be in for him but suspect various other championship clubs will be too.
I don’t have a problem with Martin coming back, in what’s going to be possibly a real tough season we might well be needing a double battering ram in Dykes and Martin to feed the likes of Chair etc to salvage vital points in games !
I really do hope Martin doesn't come back. He's slow and just plods around, it's like playing with 9 outfield players when we don't have the ball. Not for me.
4 in 14 appearances I think. If he had dykes work rate then it would be a yes, but opposition defenders pass around him with actual ease. He reminded me of that other lump, Matt Smith who we had. Very poor out of possession.
No different to what Beale did or Warbs for that matter. Makes more sense in GA's case as he's working with much tighter restrictions than those two.
He deserves the chance. One extremely well polished turd found by us in the last 15 years or so. It's that I suspect which cost Les his job more than anything else. Constantly preaching the gospel about having to develop players for selling and what exactly did it produce?
Love that 'fine tune' description. Full 'factory overhaul' might be better, However, a 'fine tune' is a lot cheaper!
