I agree. Transfers fees aside, does anyone have an idea what our income is from sponsorships, ticket sales, TV money etc.? It seems we had a wage budget well over £10 million last season so I wonder just how much income we have coming into the club.

Probably why they have slapped the food and drink prices up substantially on the concourse for this upcoming season!

Is that good for a club our size?

It is 2.5 times what Giacom were paying per season.

I’m guessing our income aside from player sales like KLP last season is rather insignificant then compared to clubs in top half the division, and certainly doesn’t even come close to covering the wage bill.

I guess when you consider all that, even with the money from KLP, we probably have made quite a big loss last season.

Oscar will turn a good profit, we should do alright off Benj, we shouldn't have to take more than a 50% loss on Sinik and I'm very confident that in the coming years we'll flog Vaughan and Simons on for a lot of money.

Yeah very true., Then some twat took photos of the player on the morgue table. At least it reminds me that the descendants of Burke and Hare live on.

I'd say 2/3rds of the championship are in a similar boat to us. Parachute teams and teams like Sunderland and Wednesday that have a big fanbase to call on can help themselves but even Wednesday struggle hence the reason Moore left allegedly.

The model is you find a few gems. sell them for 10x what you bought them for and replace now. Long gone are the days of mid table champ teams spending silly money

If we are quids in it will be spent on players. You're going on as it'll it's a reduction in the budget. Sell for profit to reinvest further is the model most at our level are following.

Besides if we're selling Tetteh perhaps that means we're no longer selling Oscar?

Just judge the window at the end of the window and we've seen what the signings look like.

Sitting in W1 with the flag bearers was a ****ing nightmare last season. Parents dragged along to get a 5 minute video then slowly realising they're stuck there for the game. Up and down like a fairground ride. Then the kids are worse. I missed Ozan's penalty against Watford because some kid wanted cheesy chips. I'm not one for making a scene but I came close that game

I think it's imperative that we sell Oscar this window, we won't get more for him in the next 6/12 months than we will now.

He won't get the minutes this season. We aren't bringing in a **** load of strikers because we're happy with our current options.

Tetteh hasn’t cost us nowt for a season. There’s a reason we are doing the business we are

Yeah, but we would have spent his wages on someone else if we hadn't signed him and we'll have turned a profit on his fee even if it's a nominal one. If he goes for his transfermarkt valuation (1.5m) then it'll have covered his wages and a bit more besides.

I went to see Led Zeppelin at Newcastle and Sunderland and at both places the music was all anybody bothered about.
A few years later I saw them at Earls Court and people were going out mid song for ice creams!
