When he does that it usually signals a film I'd really like. Excited now.

Found the sound to be a wee bit distracting during the first 20 or so minutes. To the point it got quite annoying, painful even.

Apart from that then there is not much wrong with this movie. Great cast giving great performances. Intelligent dialogue. Beautiful cinematography. Even Nolan's penchant for flitting across multiple timelines holds up well.

Maybe a tad too long at 3 hours.

    8/10

It was decent, but nothing spectacular, I enjoyed the story, but never felt invested in the characters at all. 6.5. Agree with the sound, can understand why they had it for the nuke, but not the foot stamping.

I was thinking more of the dream sequence at the start of the film tbh but the foot stamping was bad as well. Think they turned everything up to 11.

    Silver Linings Playbook 9/10

    Brilliant film.

Not seen it for a while. Every single performance is top drawer.

It's decent but a 9? Good film but overrated there. That's from me so you're in trouble.

    It's a great film.

Great script, dark yet brilliantly funny - should be right up your street fgs!

And as I said everyone in it is at the top of their game.

Bit cheesy though innit. I'll go 8.1/10 from memory.

I don't think so. Yeh maybe the ending's a bit too neat but the whole film is both depressing and funny.

I'm trying to think of something similar and the closest is As Good As It Gets which is another great film. Another 9/10 <whistle>

Silver linings is a great film.

    Never a 9 though.

As good as is gets is quite possibly a 9 tbf.
