Good age. Plenty of PL experience. Affordable. Fits the system in terms of ability on the ball. Fine by me.
With all this saga going on, I know clubs are paying for potential, but with his various fitness issues, I have a feeling that he’s going to be one of those players who has a lot of injuries throughout his career…. Just wishful thinking if any club just assumes he’ll miraculously play much more than he has. If any fan from whichever thinks he’s a regular starter… they need to think again….
I actually supported Villa for a little while when I was too young to know better. It was the season they finished 2nd, in the early 90s, losing out to Man Utd for the title, ironically.
Interesting. I got the impression he wasn’t a defensive player but that might just be based on the last FM game
Can’t believe Caicedo signed a new contract at Brighton in January if he truly wants to join Chelsea. It appears to have no release clause - although maybe for champions league clubs (although I’m sure it would have been tested) He seems to have been quite poorly advised given what Brighton are holding out for
Didnt Van Dijk do the same thing? Admittedly we didn’t sell him in the summer but from memory he didn’t feature much in the season before moving in Jan, might be remembering that wrong though
