Hope we spend a large amount on young players who can be of use for several years to come. Our squad is if i am correct by far the oldest in the league with an average of 28,6 years. As from the start of this season i would like us to have a bid for Maynard. Many would disagree with only saying he's no proven PL striker, but to his defense Bothroyd, Morrison, Graham and Long were put in that same category as well.
I see Newcastle and Celtic are weighing up bids for Jordan Rhodes,with the expected price being around £2 million.Surely he's worth a punt at that sort of money,although i personally think he'll cost nearer £5 million!
Think you make a good point about younger players Pey - 2 or 3 really promising youngsters would be great if we can get them, especially when we already have quite a lot of experience in the squad.
With £15m maybe we can get Defoe. Think Tarbs is definitely on his way out though so we should re-coop a few mil for him.
Its a notoriously inflated market, the January one. I don't think the squad needs any major surgery, just some tweaking here and there. Its encouraging news though.
Bellamy is someone we should have got had we not had dumb and dumber in charge. AJ wil score goals, as will Defeo. Would rather Defeo as he is younger

There are no bargains in the January window, only over inflated bloated malcontents like our Adel. How much would Warnock pay for him now if he was on the open market? That's how he should<and will, I expect> approach the transactions to come.
