Maybe I'm missing something with this away kit but I'm not all that keen. Hope our players don't blend in with the pitch either given the colour!

Last top I bought and wore was 20 yrs ago. The black vodafone one. Absolute bangin away shirt that one <ok>

As for Hojlund, there's no issue about the player. The money though. Of course I wouldn't usually care but they're clearly taking the piss on the amount they want, and if we're going to send a message out that the days of Woodward's obscene spending are over, it won't do much to spend £70m on a player worth half that.

The last and only club shirt I bought was in 1969, the long-sleeved red job with the white cuffs and collar. I bought it (my mum bought it) through her Freemans catalogue account. I took it everywhere and had Best, Styles and Charlton sign it for me whenever they came to Highbury (my Dad could get me in). I lost it in a house fire decades ago - to this day I wonder how much it might be worth today.

Funny that, I've got a red Nike Vodafone one, my son now wears this as a 'vintage' kit. Absolutely buries him.

Quite possibly the last one I bought too. I wore it round Thailand on tour, very useful in that climate. Then played squash in it for years. Been in a drawer for ages.

I've got an 1980-2 re release that Adidas did a few years back, that's nice. I did buy that one myself tbf.

I've also got a black Chevrolet one, orange stripes and badge. Was bought it one fathers day.

    Gym wear that.

Funny he calls it a vintage, I was going to post that mine was a classic, then thought better of it, but to anyone younger it would be I guess.

Used to wear it a lot but I used to go watch games regularly back then. Still got it in the drawer. Love that shirt, I've not given it to my boy lol... well not yet.

I had a Sharp one from years back but that disappeared some time ago. I reckon it's either in a suitcase somewhere in the attic or my parents got rid after I got hitched.

It looks like we have set the ceiling for of £60m for Hojlund. I was thinking that £50m would be our max as reported few weeks ago. It looks like these bastard clubs run a long saga and deliberately drip news to the press just to get more money. Fk em if £60m ain't enough!

Also, I read that Kane is looking for a package of £30m/year (along with image rights, blah. blah - what skin image anyway? It's Harry farkin Kane!!! lol). We should not be competing for such obscene salary. He is currently on £10.4m/year. If he wants 3 times that, then it is time for him to fly to Saudi Arabia.

Elanga sold to Forest for an undisclosed fee. Shame, I thought the lad had promise, but more money in the pot for the new striker - now to ship out Martial and McTominay for a few bob..

Martial needs to get out. Enough of waiting for him to come alive.

If we get Sofyan Amrabat, that will be a material transfer for us and McTominay can join West Ham.

Two and a half weeks before the season starts and if we're lucky we'll buy a CF who'll go into the PL having had no preseason with us.

Which of course always works out well for us.

Just watched the highlights of the Real Madrid game on MUTV - not a bad performance despite the scoreline. The Bellingham goal was a mile offside, so discount that from the end result and the second half goal was incredible, but beyond that we held our own for much of the game but did look a little slow on the park compared to RM, hopefully just a fitness thing ahead of the new season. Onana had a good game, he commands the box well and made a few decent forays into midfield to bring the ball out, once the rest of the squad get used to it, it should really help move our game up the pitch. Not bad for a pre-season, Martinez is back to his killer best - all we need now is someone to convert the chances that we are creating.

I was mad enough to watch the whole game but glad that I did. It wasn't a typical friendly. It was obvious both managers were looking at the quality of the opposition to get the best out of their own players/tactics so the intensity, passing and closing down was very good.

We were much better in the second half and I'd say probably the better team in the 2nd half for how much we dominated. Should have scored during that time but not having a striker told once again!

Imo when we passed it around in our own half we looked slow and lacked creativity. When we played the through balls into their half we looked like we could create chance after chance - but lacked the striker!

The thing about Real Madrid is once they get possession they're so good at putting together a combination of passes and they're right in on goal. We're nowhere near that level atm.

Casemiro, AWB, Eriksen, Pellistri Shaw, Martinez, Onana, Garnacho all had a good game.

Bruno (and Sancho when he came on) really need to up their game tbh.

    Rashford is not a CF.

How did Mount play, you've not mentioned him?

Got to assume now that we'll get the Hojland deal done. I'd still have some concern about him having to carry the can centre forward wise.

Rashford needs to accept he's the experience and back up, and won't always play where he wants.

And then Amrabat adds class to our defensive midfield area. Class that McTominay and Fred don't have.

I honestly can't say I noticed Mount much in either the Arsenal or Real game.

I don't know if that's a bad thing or just me not paying attention to him.

Galatassary want Fred. We want 20m they've offered 10. Apparently their top bod has flown in to meet our bods to thrash out a deal.

He's definitely going though apparently bcos the Saudi's and Fulham are also interested. Can't not sell him somewhere I suppose.

Forgot to mention on Onana. The difference in distribution was very noticeable.

Also the bloke doesn't take a touch to control the ball unlike De Gea. He's into his one touch football so as soon as the ball comes to him he recycles it (that's the term right?) straight out with some decent sharp passes. Worried me at the start tbh but he was confident doing it against a decent RM side without any fck ups so fair play to him.

I'd say that's usually a good thing for someone playing in his position.

Means he was quietly efficient, no?

He's bound to make some mistakes but, as long as people aren't immediately on his back when he does, it'll be fine.

To recycle attacks quickly will be a huge plus after de Gea, who, let's be honest, did anything but.

Hope he's as good at his actual job of stopping goals as well.

What I've read over the past week is PSG have offered him more money but he's given his word i.e. agreed personal terms with United and wants to honour that unless we don't seal the deal.

Which tbh is rather refreshing to hear from a player we're after.
