Anyhow, back to ‘General Football’ - is anyone bought in wholly to this Women’s World Cup? Feels like England are really struggling to score goals, Saints style, and could fall at the first hurdle. Frustrating how that could happen after such a brilliant Euros
Can I suggest this conversation ends now before I wield my mod axe and start deleting entire posts. It's becoming off topic in any case.
I don't follow that closely. But I did think they would struggle to live up to the hype this WC. Having several key players out injured including the captain, main goalscorer and a key creator while a few of the experienced heads have also retired since the Euros win. They have also come into the tournament with a lot of expectation and a significant increase in media coverage which isn't easy to navigate. Meanwhile their recent form and performances haven't been the best, so wouldn't surprise me if they get knocked out much earlier than many anticipate.
I haven't taken part just following with interest. Those with points to make should be free to do so provided they stick to the forum rules and use the correct thread.
Second Brighton player retires with heart conditions. (22 year old Dendoncker) They must have had the same batch of the covid vaccine
It's certainly something that needs considering and looking at, but on the flip side, without knowing the player's medical histories and nature of the diseases, it's also not a conclusion you can make a snap decision on at all.
Yeah I agree. I fully regret getting mine, and feel there was lots of confusing and/or misinformation regarding getting them. Like really regret it. Also wider discussion, but it was crazy locking down everything imo. I asked my second head, and that also agrees with me.
There's also a large volume of medical data that speaks against it. The vaccine can cause transient myocarditis, absolutely. COVID also causes transient myocarditis, just with several times the frequency. There is no known link between the vaccine and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which has long been the leading cause of sudden death among athletes and is almost exclusively genetic (and is almost certainly what is implicated here): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4969030/ (man, if I were a doctor named Adolph Hutter, I might go by my middle name)
Maybe it shouldn’t have a title, or it can have one that it changes itself depending on how it feels each morning…
Another unconvincing 1-0 win for England and another bad injury to a key player. A wins a win, and all that ultimately matters, but doesn't convince me that England are going to compete for the WC.
Worth a read for anyone concerned with the Saudi league expansion and power within football. Never mind a European super league there's a whole world out there. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-helpless-against-saudi-pro-league-juggernaut
