Actually I think we do… just not as a starter… at squad level potentially or loaned out again. What we didn’t have, was the time to wait for our goalkeeper last year to become a 40m French international… or to see if if a guy who’s confidence was fcked at cb, would miraculously do a job as a PL left back. Or to see if a 35m ‘prospect’ could fire us to safety. But we should always have time to nurture talent. TBH, though, if Farke doesn’t think Hjelde is up to it, then I’m fine with that, he sees them in training. He’ll have scouting reports from Rotherham etc. My point was he’s just a kid… you don’t see many teenage centre halves ready for top level football.
That’s what I meant. We don’t have time to make him our starting CB and develop him in the hotbed of the championship. If they’re not ready they don’t play. As I said, time we get ruthless
No, he said you are much quicker than him. Mrs Milky says you are quite rapid too. Not your fault she can’t keep up fella
And here comes the problem. Who are we going to start? We basically got no CB pairing to speak of. Cooper is over 30 and will be going off the boil. Struijk is **** and we're now debating if Cresswell and Leo are good enough. They'll have to be good enough of we're funked. We've got no sign of a CB coming in. Are we meant to.wait and hope that Phillips is going to sign in the next week and a half. I'm not holding my breath.
it's not the fee to Newcastle... it's the £300k a week 5 year deal with him we need to be worried about. I remember all those "Kiko Casilla on a free? Oustanding business" comments we had on here... and he was Real Madrid's no 2, not Newcastle's no 5. Jokes aside, I'm fine with Darlow... fine with any keeper after last year to be honest
If no one wants Bamford how will the 49ers have the wages for another striker. At the moment we have bamford/joseph. Gelhardt is not a striker in my opinion.
