Let's face it, it's a good problem to have. Damn, if we still have KWP by the time the window closes, I'll put money on us going up. He could play Champion's League, no problem. the likes of him, Tino, could easily be moved into midfield in the Championship too. Manning with KWP ahead of him would be mental. Likewise, Bree and Tino on the right.
It is a good problem perhaps, but I'd imagine we are spending more on full back wages than other clubs entire first XI.
We only have 1 LB that has played senior football - Manning was a no brainer. KWP is very likely off and the club will have spoken to his agent, but even if he stayed, he isn't a left back. He has played well there before in previous systems, but I can't see it work in a high posession system.
SAINTS have released away ticket information for the Championship opener at Sheffield Wednesday with subsidised prices. Thanks to sponsors Sportsbet.io, the club are selling tickets for the Friday, August 8 (8PM) clash at Hillsborough for £30 rather than £36. (I guess those protesters that object to Gambling sponsors will insist on paying the full £36.00p?} Tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 14 at 2:30PM for 2023-24 season ticket holders who attended four or more away matches last season. On Monday, July 17 (9:30AM), season ticket holders with three away matches can purchase tickets and those with two later in the afternoon. This staggered sale period continued until 2023-24 Saints Plus members can purchase their tickets at 9:30AM on Wednesday, July 19, followed by Saints Lite members in the afternoon. Any remaining tickets of the 2,400 allocation will go on general sale on Thursday, July 20. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling/visiting the ticket office. Full sale details can be found on the club website.
I see that Vestergaard partnered Coady at CB in Leicester's opening pre-season friendly yesterday. Too early to know, but maybe an indication that he'll feature for them this season.
Match day pricing now on the website, though I didn't see a big announcement? But they've got pricing up for all the home games (or early ones at least). Looks very reasonable on first glance. The new website really is terrible.
Two fixture changes for Sky Sports selections: Sunderland away now moved forward to a 12:30pm KO. Leicester at home now moved forward to a Friday night 8pm KO.
Sunderland that time of day is awful. I remember going there in the cup and leaving at 3 in the morning.
Who on earth are the pricks who pick the TV games? Why would you put two of the furthest apart teams as the early (or late) kick off? They do this over, and over, and over.
The leagues should create a rule that states if a game is more than 'X' hours away in travel for the away fans, it cannot be moved to an unreasonable kick off time, allowing only for exceptional circumstances.
Anyone had their season ticket yet? I can't even work out if there's anywhere on the website that shows me where my seat is.
Oh... wrong! Season ticket came today Saints caught me off-guard by being well ahead of schedule this year.
Oooh how exciting! If I remember rightly you bought in the first day or two like I did? I shall eagerly await the post this week
