I was just reading the Athletic article and how Aaronson was asked to remain for 12 months and get a promised summer move next season, he obviously declined. He has a loan and permanent release clause if relegated and he opted the loan route when we were possibly hoping to sell if he didn’t wish to remain. When Orta put these loan release deals together, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, he possibly felt that if we get promoted then we get the players back, we don’t have to worry about wages for 12 months and if promoted we have the quality (in his eyes) returning saving a spending splurge. He is hugely guilty of not reading the room, for failing to understand what an unforgiving bunch we are. Those leaving on loan I NEVER want to see them in a Leeds shirt again, I detest them all as much as I detest any player from Man U. Get promoted and they return, then what, we’re in an impossible position, the coach will show faith in those he has, surely he can’t have faith in any who return, the dressing room would be massively divided and above all, is there a Leeds fan who would forgive any of them. So we’ll be stuck with a load of expensive players who have no future here.
Those that have gone out can never return. I believe that the hope is that they all have a good season at their loan clubs meaning we can recoup most of the money spent on them (and hopefully get promoted).
Why would anyone want the waste of spaces back after going AWOL for a season to swan back in if they felt like it, don't the arsewipes realise that they where crap in the premier league the last time or do they think they weren't part of the reason we flopped....see ya
Exactly my point, I’ve yet to hear one fan say they’d welcome them back. It’s so blatantly obvious that virtually every scenario ends poorly.
Lets face it Leeds have taken a big hit on the ship jumpers and most likely will do next season. I can see us having to write some of them off which will affect ffp.Not one who have left so far were prem standard except rodrigo who can feck off as well.
Possibly, but we’ll have a player not wanting to return, a coach not wanting the player, a coach fearful of the disruption and a fan base full of hatred towards the player. It has all the makings of a swift cut price sale and cut our losses. The burning question will be, wages. You assume the wages dropped through relegation, if we get promoted do they receive PL wages again, you’d assume so. If it is the case they’ll be costing us a fortune so another reason to move them swiftly on
Just read an article by a so called in the know mouthpiece. Says FARKE wants to sign a keeper, 2 CBs, 2 midfielders and a striker. Well fook me I think any of us could have said that …… why no mention of a LB
Apparently we are not one of the clubs pushing for Joel Pirloe - That's disappointing, I hope it's because Farke doesn't want him and not because of cost
Surprised at hjelde, struijk has lost his way unfortunately 50/50 for me as for the other two may as well sell as a job lot labelled....poford and hopefully they don't realise till it's to late and we've banked a couple of bob
If true then I’m liking Farke’s ruthlessness. Shame about Hjelde, hoped he’d kick on. As we haven’t signed a forward is giving a chance to Perkins / Joseph (bearing in mind Perkins was on the brink of the West Ham first team)?
This one doesn't surprise me... From what I read a few weeks ago Struijk and Paddy were told to look for new clubs. Firpo has a few admirers in Spain. Hjelde is a tad bit of a surprise as I expected him to have a future with the club but I wouldn't be surprised if some lower Champs teams are looking at him.
