I started watching City when we were a run of the mill 3rd division side but it wasnt long before we signed Ken Wagstaff, Ken Houghton and Ian Butler.
None of this FFP and transfer windows in those days!

I think the inside page of the directory had a list of useful numbers , emergency , police etc long range weather forecast that included Dogger Bank - bet your ears pricked up there !! , occasionally you’d find a directory in a phone box - honest

Just listened to the post match with Liam.

Honestly, what's the issue? He said he was not happy with the performance and was going to address the the things he is not happy with. I got the impression the latter was the attitude and fight of some of the players (and probably quality).

So he is going to either give them a kick up the arse or move people on that aren't up to it or good enough.

    Sounds good to me!

Liam like all managers are media trained so they all sound the ****ing same to me as they are so afraid of getting misquoted and then losing the dressing room.

He knows we was absolutely ****e last night against a shambles of a club. Not enough goals in the team not helped that Tetteh & Oscar are made of wool plus Allahyar, Sinik, Longman are ****e and probably on decent money so can’t get rid of them on permanents.

Don’t expect us to finish any higher than around 15/16 anyway so not expecting much.

The point is not that it was a very poor performance against a low league side, but why was it a poor performance? Team selection, including not even taking certain players to the match, IMO may have left the players selected with the view, why me? Is this a second team run out? Add to that the fact that playing teams from a lower league position is always at risk of complacency and fear of injury.

Scunthorpe played well and above their league standard and deserved at least the draw, so the result is not a concern, but motivation or lack of it is a little worrying.

Maybe I heard it different, but i got the impression he was annoyed at the attitude of the players (well most) and it would be addressed one way or another. Which I see as a positive.

He also admitted we need to address how poor we are in the final third and we are trying to fix it (training ground etc.).

Heard in the gym, this morning, that (1) Oscar turned his ankle last night and his injured, that (2) Allahyar had a pull and is doubtful for the Champ kick-off. That, (3) Tetteh is on his bike after an incoming offer has been received.
On the scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being absolute, total bollocks and 10 being true, how close to reality are they.

He even said it himself in the interview. Easy to get motivated for a game in front of 20k against Galatasaray but different in front of National League North opposition. He then went on to say Vaughan was the exception for that in that he plays the same no matter who we play. You could tell he was annoyed and I have no doubt he let the team know as such as well.

Honestly I would much rather have Rosenior speak like this than what McCann was like

Rosenior pretty much confirmed all three but didnt say the extent of the injuries. Only noted Simons was back in training Thursday

These lot are made out of matchsticks ffs. Allahyar with another hamstring injury and Óscar knackered his knee again. Both in training it seems.

Both of those are wrong as per Rosenior last night. Allahyar was a calf and Oscar ankle (the opposite one to his long-standing niggle).
