We need to change a few things because our current midfield and attack lack a bit of everything. Stop crying about how Berbatov can't play as a lone striker because at least he can create chances and goals. With the hard graft of Park and Anderson we can afford Berbatov to be a bit languid. Rooney can not start because he looks beyond dreadful. Fletcher should not start because he has been poor all season and Carrick has offered little. I think out attack is fine and we're on the wings, it's the centre of midfield that's a problem. We really need Carrick, Fletcher and Anderson to start playing like we know they can.
I am tired of watching our team expect Nani to create every chance because what happens when he is not around? We so badly need Park and Valencia back because they will be key and allow Nani to rest. What an earth has happened to Fletcher??
Never by himself, always with tackler like Fletcher or Carrick beside him. Your team selection isn't bad, but you'll need to have Anderson alongside Scholes, or possibly Carrick alongside Scholes with Anderson in the advanced role and Park / Valencia on the bench depending on who we're playing. But either way, SAF will always pick the team he thinks will best counter the specific opponents we face, and will usually be right.
I just don't think Rooney fits in anymore he has been nothing short of awful for us this season. Yesterday summed him up as a whole
