We’ll probably be about eight points clear at the top.

This is exactly what I’m fearing. They talk a good game, but how much do they know about European football and tradition. How much do they care? How much are they willing to put into the club before they cut their loses? We must remember that they are an investment company, and their main objective is to earn money for the investors. For what I have seen of American owners they don’t give a sheit about the fans or traditions. That is until you threaten their wallet, then they suddenly become the fans best friend and only have the club best interest at heart.

This is also why I was not jumping with joy when the 49ers entered the club. And to my Paraag seems like their spin doctor.

But I guess we will find out eventually.

They, the 49ers, have been involved with the club long enough to understand promotion and relegation and tradition.
They also got the club at a cut price due to our relegation.
The only way the 'investors' will make money is via promotion .
    They talk the talk,
Now it's time to walk the walk.
Or as we say in Yorkshire,
Put yer money where yer mouth is.

Meanwhile, whilst we loan out our bunch of losers, for **** all Southampton turn down a 40 million bid for Ravio Lavia and 25 million for James Ward Prowse. Good work by our ex DoF

Perhaps if I'd been part of the investor group, but it's a bit out of my league. Besides, I'm a Patriots fan as a result of only living for 6 months in SF and 23 years in Boston...

But then some of the players staying will have big wages and our outgoing instalments for players we’ve bought in the last couple of seasons going out this year probably offsets most, if not all of that so if we want to buy 5 more players for cash I’d imagine we’d need to sell at least one player. As I think it’s only a loss of like 30m over 3 seasons and I think you make a loss in the championship anyway so when you add a few more transfer fees and wages it won’t be far off unless they risk it but then they definitely need to be promoted or we’d be in the mud again after 3 seasons.
