My Aunt & Uncle took me to Belgium on holiday when I was about 13 or 14 - i discovered a taste for Stella after trying one....a few years later I tried to blag a beer in a pub in Leverstock Green and the only beer I recognised was Stella so I ordered one! The rest, as they say, is all history - shame I cannot remember most of it!

A couple of fairly awful misses in the last 5 minutes - the Swedes will be laughing into their half time cuppas.

 

Must agree BB , I think even with my dodgy knees I could have scored that last sitter, on a par with big Chris`s miss for scotland !

The story of my season so far, create chances and fail to take them.

 

Well that was fairly unconvincing - Sweden were little short of pathetic, but still managed to pull England's defence around and create a few worrying chances. Only a friendly I suppose..........

 

That could have easily been 4-0 or 1-1 !!!

2 wins 2 clean sheets against teams that we dont do well against ! would accept that for watford with the games coming up!

 

I see Costa Rica are putting England's win against Spain into some sort of perspective - 2-0 up at half time

 

Spain aint busting a gut for a friendly , (under orders from the barca management)!

 

I think Tamas Priskins goal should count as it may be the only goal that both of them may not score another.

 

I think that it showed up quite well the difference between someone who can hold the ball up front, (Zamora, Graham) and someone who just doesn't play in the same way(Bent, Sordell).

There were a lot of things there to remind me of Watford. A few bits where the ball was played around on the floor quite well, followed by misplaced passes and a bit of hoof ball thrown in for good measure.
