Absolutely and besides as Corporal Jones said in dads army.. They don't like it up em you know. The truth is Leeds have wasted millions and just lost a lot more loaning out last seasons failures which they are still paying fees for which half a million per player will not cover.
Ok then, how much do we owe and to whom and have we borrowed a couple of £100 million from a financial institution which has passed me by ? You clearly stated our situation is comparable to the one Risdale created so let’s have the evidence.
Our owners have wasted their own money have they not ? It’s now their problem to sort out so let them get on with it.
To be fair... not sure Monk's reasons for walking because of a DOF were for footballing reasons. Allegedly of course.
Here’s a good read https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...201/Leeds-United-takeover-49ers-American.html
Admire your optimism, however, for me this preseason has been a complete shambles, we’ve a flakey bunch of players who probably can’t remember the last time they won a game. I fear a loss to Cardiff first up will continue the rut and it’s distinctly likely to happen if this is the squad when we go into that match. We are weaker than last season, which we should be concerned about because last season we were ****. We haven’t scored a goal yet in the preseason friendlies and keeping up our record of shipping at least two goals a game. Some have posted first match potential lineups and none has filled me with confidence. Can only hope that the adage about these only being about fitness is true.
Thanks Eire, it was a good read, but as new owners you’d expect them to say all the right things. Had a look in the comments section and saw this from an Arsenal fan now living in the States: please log in to view this image The Good Doctor66, The Woodlands TX Expat, United States, 11 minutes ago The Yankie Dooble Mail seems to be running one pro-US owner story after the other in the past two weeks. I wonder why?!?! Could it be something to do with the huge push here in the States to market MLS and US owned clubs....classic journalist for hire article! As an Arsenal supporter of 52 yrs, I sincerely hope Leeds fans are being told the truth, but regrettably I don't think it's the case. These Americans care not for any club tradition, regardless of what side of the Atlantic; just look how Kroenke treated the St Louis Rams fans, by just upping the franchise and moving it to LA, after previously stating he had no plans to do so! Also Candlestick Park was iconic with the 49ers; did they care, of course not, they moved it to a charmless venue 40 miles South of San Fran. They care less about tradition or the fans, fact! It's all about money, money, money! Ask yourself, why are so many buying up clubs? Unfortunately, I don't see anything good coming from it, and fear for football!
Somethings been bugging me for a while re the escape clauses more recent signings had in their contracts. I don’t think it was just coincidence that all the ones able to bail out were the worst players we had in last six games of season and were indeed the ones who seemed to have zero interest in proceedings. Now I’m not suggesting games were deliberately lost but surely if these lads already had an idea where they’d be playing this season, there was little or no incentive to burst themselves trying last April and may
