Sports Republic are going to screen messages to the crowd to show they are the best people to get us back to the Prem.
Now fully installed. (Day 9 of pitch renovation, photo courtesy of groundsman Steve New) please log in to view this image
It would neither improve nor worsen my day out at the footie, if the screens were big, small, or non-existant. It's just more advertising.
Don’t know where you sit in the ground usually, but the screen above Northam was crocked, some matches it wasn’t even switched on. It’s not the end of the World, but it was shoddy and a nuisance. It did need addressing.
Where I sit I am level with the Northam screen and can't see it, I look at the Chapel End to see who is in the team, but don't watch the vids e.t.c. it's a long way away for my tired old eyes, so any improvement in quality will help.
Not getting my hopes up on this install. Every time i looked at the TVs last season they appeared to be showing adverts for a local Taxi or Accountant service rather then the actual line up/subs/goals. Rather sad when compared to the likes of the Spurs ground, Massive TVs which show the live game/replays and goals.
The screens were a massive let down. Hopefully they will sort them out for the league proper. The one at the Chapel end has a knackered pixel already!
Let's get one thing clear: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the best stadium in the country and is much more modern and cost hundreds of millions to build. Not really fair to expect those standards!
Maybe unfair to compare against Spurs but the least we can expect is for the screens to always show the line up, who has scored, who is on a yellow. Don't mind the occasional advert but it was constant last season. Someone would get booked, you look to see who, nope an advert. Arrive slightly after kick off, look at the board to see the line up, nope an advert. I long for a taxi tonight, nope time for a Tax Consultant. This seems to have wound me up more then the relegation.
