RIP Trevor Francis sadly passed away today aged 69 of a heart attack. First million pound player and a great guy of the pitch as well
Very sad and very unexpected Great player in his time for Birmingham. Forest and England When the headline said ‘ex England footballer Francis dies’ I thought it would be Gerry Francis - ex QPR, blue few and England player. Will never forget the diving header he scored to win the European Cup for Forest against Hamburg in 1979 RIP Trev
My immediate memory was watching him for Brum at AG with Kenny Burns up front. A teenager playing with a nutcase. Went on to have a fantastic career and seemed a thoroughly nice man. 69 is no age, very sad news.
oh dear the reaper seems to be ultra active at the moment! All the hero's from our past falling to him! Amazing player R I P
West Country fella that really made it big, played for country and Cloughie, classs act on and off the pitch. RIP
Really good player, first £1m player. Makes me feel old all these players I remember from I was younger passing away RIP
Also gone is Chris Bart-Williams who has died in the USA aged 49 Not a good day or two for ex Forest players
will always remember his face.when being interviewed with brian clough on signing for forest and clough saying..hes not a bad player,,but he can still make the tea like anyone else,
