Looks like he joined up with the squad yesterday, so we could see some minutes from him in todays friendly.
Yeah it is 3pm now. 3x 40min sevmebts. The first behind closed doors but available on Canary Player I believe
........... AND ignore the fact that Webber's brief has changed since he arrived. He delivered exactly what he said he would on arrival, when the brief was to make us "a top 26 team", playing an entertaining style of football, and creating a clear pathway into the first team from our Academy. Sometime in 2021, prior to the opening of the summer transfer window, his brief was changed, to turning us into a top 17 club. Among the most obvious shortcomings in our first EPL season under Farke were naivety, inability to adapt, and weakness, mental and physical. We could, and were, bullied, out-manoevred and out-thought. Hence change of style, change of manager and change of recruitment strategy. The aim is still to play entertaining football, and to maintain a clear pathway from Academy to first team, while addressing the shortcomings through a different first team recruitment strategy.
It's an abbreviation of "severe memory blackout". These are common among watching football fans while matches are in progress. Research shows that these blackouts are highly selective, effectively blocking any recall of anything positive about the performance of their team.
Now I know what you were suffering from during Farke's tenure. I remember you being extremely selective during this period. So glad your condition has improved since those dark days.
Good heavens! It's clearly a problem that also afflicts forum members reading contrarian posts ......
A few months ago, Robbie and I were squabbling, which is not unknown. However, I got a public warning from Resurgam that, as a moderator, he could block me, while Robbie got no similar warning. That taught me everything I need to know about this site and the way it is moderated, at least by Resurgam. I notice Canary Rob doesn't post these days after a succession of spats with Robbie. Was he also warned that he must respect Robbie's towering intellect or be blocked? Who's next? Mike? DD? Well, another one bites the dust. Goodbye.
Thanks. We've also had our moments when we've disagreed and I feel especially guilty about one time I remember when I accused you of not telling the truth re China. I'm sorry for that. Keep well. All the best.
Hi Bure. Thanks, you're a nice guy. Actually, I've found out it's not easy to leave; you have to contact them blah blah so I can't be arsed, but I won't be back. OK, I'm flouncing, I know, but it's really not worth me getting worked up about what I see as the lack of neutral moderation. Resurgam's warning has niggled with me ever since I got it; not that I got it, but that the other party didn't. It's simpler if I just log out and don't come back. Bye.
His aerial ability was something I noticed looking at his stats, Fassnacht has scored 4 or 5 headed goals most seasons. I've said since Bradley Johnson did it with aplomb that having a "wide target man" to aim longer free kicks/clearances at is a nice weapon, particularly if teams are unaware of it. Most full backs are short and dragging a CM/CB out into wide areas to mark a tall winger creates other issues.
For my part, I'll apologise for the lack of moderation from myself, my time zone has generally meant that by the time I've logged in and seen anything, the argument is over. Moderation here has generally favoured a "laissez faire" approach, because any heavy handedness has been poorly received, and we don't have the "staff" to be on top of every post within an appropriate length of time (if anyone else fancies taking on mod controls, do let me know). Any time we've tried to be more proactive, it's been very hard to apply evenly, and has caused more issues than letting things slide. All I can suggest is using the "block" option to filter out any posters you don't want to see, it's not ideal, but basically the only way to tune content. But I'm sorry if our moderation approach means you choose to leave, that's certainly never been the outcome we've wanted.
You were not warned about being blocked, just warned, as others were, that your posts could be deleted. It would be appreciated if you got your facts straight before slagging me off.
