Hollow? Only in as much as it was disappointing that Lewis didn't get the chance to beat Vettel on track, which he may well have done. However, as Vettel spun out right at the start, there will always be the thought that Vettel should have won it but for a freakish failure and Lewis only picked up the win by default.

It was great to see Lewis smiling and just being happy this weekend. Hopefully we will see this Lewis every race weekend from now on. Call me a big softy, but I was quite touched by the scenes of Lewis looking so happy after the race, celebrating with his mum.

lets not kid ourselves happy al in fact lets not live in a little fantasy land ,
this was one of hamiltons simplist wins , the mp4/26 was the quickest car all weekend and as soon as vettel went out what realistic competition did hamilton have ,

he had alonso in the slower ferrari protecting him from button and button himself had a sick car after 12 laps , fair play to lewis he made no errors , but lets be honest he had nobody to beat and could hardly lose in such a situation , in fact he would have had to have a complete brain fade to have actually lost ,

most top drivers occasionally have an easy win like this where everything unfolds perfectedly for them and the win is handed on a plate to them , and of course every driver is entitled to have lady luck on there side occasionally ,
------------ lets not pretend that it was anything else --

Hamilton's drive may be called hollow by some, but judging by the sweat on his forehead it looked like he had been working hard, actually I thought it was a wheel perfect drive.

So by your logic, all of Vettel's wins have been easy and lucky?

Ernie - agreed. Difficult to say what more he could do. Faultless - pointless worrying about Vettel going off.
A win is a win. Hamilton was made up, I'm pleased for him.

You stated that Hamilton had no-one in front of him and no-one to challenge him therefore he was lucky and it was easy. I mentioned Vettel because most races this season have followed your pattern, with just a different driver.

the difference being is that vettel has had competition from similiar performing cars in the way of the two mclarens all season ,
on sunday hamilton had precious little competition when vettel went out and button had a malfuctioning car for most of the race --

Sorry martial, but you talk absolute poo. Whatever you say, the Red Bull is and has been much-superior throughout the season. How else do you explain Vettel flying away from everyone else at the start and remaining absolutely unchallenged? If the McClarens were of 'similar performance' the races would have been much closer.

Martial is welcome to have the opinion that the McLaren is equal to the Red Bull, I'm sure he has his reasoning (do you?). I don't personally agree but thats just that, an opinion.

If McLaren thought performance was equal - they would look for 2 new drivers.....

cant agree with you bud , if the red bull had been so dominant webber would have been doing alot more with it , personally i believe it has been vettel that has been the difference between mclaren and red bull -

it would seem the experts also think vettel is a bit usefull , which might explain the dominance of just one red bull --
