Holding firm on our best players makes sense. They aren’t the ones we need to shift anyway. We really need to move on Djenepo, lyanco onuachu salisu aribo and a couple of armstrongs and caleta Carr this year. And that’s only phase one, a couple of other wouldn’t hurt.

They will be the ones to step up, especially if we don't sign any replacements for those that are departing.
I think you may be surprised how good some of those individuals are, all they need is the chance to prove themselves at the higher level.
Yes but not all of them. Ballard, Amo-Ameyaw and Doyle are the ones I think will get regular chances.
Yeah I know, I should be open minded. But given last season’s experiment and the board’s arrogance/complacency I would feel more comfortable with some up and running players.
So it’s misleading then. Your comment does help explain the people predicting 10-14th on the prediction thread despite not seeming to have a look at the other sides in the league. Because I’d expect those people really do think (and I have no idea how or why) that this is it for us. That list of players is the complete total of anyone who will possibly play for us next season. No more incoming and all outgoings replaced but players already in the youth teams whether they are ready or not. Just like in the poortvliet days. When there is no evidence for this. Indeed there is evidence of the opposite in the signing of Charles for a large fee by Championship standards before anyone is sold. Or in this weird parallel is he our schneirderlin? And therefore do people think the rest of are signings are going to be the calibre of pulis and forecast ? I’d be stunned if Diamond Edwards for example gets a combined 90 minutes of league football for saints across the entire season
Diamond is just getting over a serious injury, it will take time to get him up to speed, the others won't get up to speed if they aren't given the opportunity to show what they can do. they don't come with an on/off switch that turns on brilliance, it's a long learning curve and some will not make it.
