Quite why they went to @WatfordESP rather than approach the club directly is anyone's guess - so I suspect he is inferring something that hasn't been (officially) implied. To be honest, I didn't even know that the club had an 'official account' in Spain...
It seems that whilst we want him on loan, Newcastle want to sell him. The £5m fee may be a stumbling block - as no doubt would be his premiership wages. https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2023/07/...-5m-price-tag-as-two-mags-near-exits-reports/
I doubt we would pay 5 million to have to be a loan deal with a view to signing maybe ? In the Newcastle squad tonight apparently for their friendly . Hopefully doesn’t get injured !
Someone has just earned themselves a gold medal for stating the bleeding obvious - given that every player on the books could leave on loan or permanently, that tweet actually tells us nothing. Slow news day on Twitter - or am I being too harsh?
Well there will be some we would want to keep obviously but guess so if the offer was right everyone could be and we do have a of dead wood . Fletcher seems to be another one of those we never really intended to use and just sent out on loan without really getting a chance .
Just another if those strange signings we have made over the last decade - unfortunately there have been quite a few. Panic buying towards the end of an unsuccessful transfer window?
Apparently we're in a race with Leicester and Middlesbrough to sign Norwegian striker Akor Adams from Lillestrom, scorer of 16 goals in 16 games so far this season.
Another rumour - attacking midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze , 23 year old Georgia international from Gent to sign on loan for a season with an option to buy. So much for the FIFA ban supposedly imposed upon us. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/watford-set-to-complete-loan-move-for-georgia-international/?
Two midfielders in on the same day. A bit of deja vu - we're going to have a glut of them again, and very few goalscorers...
Apparently after a striker from Villa but it’s not Davis. Someone called Wesley . Sounds like he has had a bad injury so fit right in !
Seems Sarr is maybe off to the south of France according to rumours. Marseille are supposedly interested in him.
Given the choice, my guess he would go to France. He came and with all the disruption of covid didn't really seem to settle. His English never became good enough to give an interview in it as far as I am aware, so that would be easier for him over here.
Ready to boost our striking options? Hopefully Wesley turns out to be better than Davis ! Other guy is a Moldovan striker who scored 12 goals in 27 games last season.
