Al Hilal have supposedly made a £259 million bid for Mbappe, Levy will have to up the offer to the key to the cheese room and unlimited use of the executive toilet
Spot on RCL, Kate has a piss poor management team and as much as I think football wise he is irreplaceable, the club need to tell him **** or get off the potty , dragging this out is doing his legacy no good
Pretty easy offer to counter: give him two free pints from the Beavertown at the stadium after every home game No Saudi club is going to match that
No one agreed a fee, that’s the thing. Spurs just thought there was a release clause… there wasn’t. So there’s no piss taking. Wolfsburg aren’t playing silly buggers. They’ve set a price, we’re yet to pay it, just like Leverkusen for Tapsoba. So instead we’re looking at going to the discount store for Tosin. Ally Gold is literally saying as such.
I think his legacy is untouchable unless he joins Arsenal or Chelsea. Any discontent over this saga should be aimed at the hierarchy though, not Kane in my opinion. It's not his fault he's been brilliant season after season and is now considering his options for the sake of his career after the hierarchy allowed this club to drop off a cliff these last few years. We'd have sunk a long time ago if it weren't for Kane and Son, amazed neither of them have broken backs.
Wolfsburg set a price - and then said that price is good for a buy and loan back instead of a full transfer. That is taking the piss
It's only taking the piss because you're choosing to believe random rumours. No one of credible note has said anything about a loan back.
It's taking the piss because it's changing the terms at the last second, which in any line of work is referred to as "taking the piss" - often with a word or two extra thrown in for emphasis
Meanwhile, away from the world of insufferable bleating, Sacha Tavolieri claims we've opened talks with Eintracht Frankfirt over Randal Kolo Muani Not the first time he's been linked, as his name was kicking around late last year IIRC, but let's be honest you read the first line and can figure out what 2/3 of the talk involves already...ad would you believe it, a lot of people on r/soccer with Bayern avatars are claiming Tavolieri's quoted fee of €80m doesn't track, demonstrating the irony deficiency in Bavarian water Meanwhile, for the out pile, Romano claims that Spartak Moscow have submitted a €12m bid for Davinson Sanchez
It's only untrue because you've decided what the story is and are sticking to that through thick and thin And if the story of Wolfsburg taking the piss isn't true, why am I able to provide a link to the story? A story which just so happens to coincide with talk of van de Ven being done in a matter of days drying up overnight? Is it because Wolfsburg are taking the piss?
I’ve decided it’s untrue because it’s literally untrue. You’re just choosing to believe random reports to push an idea that you want to believe is true onto everybody else.
No, you decided it's untrue because you've decided that it's untrue You're just choosing to ignore reports that don't fit in with what you're saying to push an idea that you want to believe onto everybody else Because you refuse to consider the possibilities that a.) Clubs are mentally increasing transfer fees entirely because of Bayern's ****ing about over Harry Kane, even though it's hardly the only time in our history let alone any other club's where this has happened (case in point, clubs were doing likewise when Bale was getting tapped-up all summer) b.) Wolfsburg shifting the goalposts during negotiations, as if that's never happened at any point in this club's history during a transfer window
You're the one believing random reports and then trying to push it onto others who believe more credible people. That's why I've decided your report is untrue, especially as Ally Gold has just this morning mentioned that it's now down to Levy to show how much he really wants to back his new manager over pursuit of key CB targets. Bayern's pursuit of Kane isn't affecting us trying to sign a CB. It'll affect us when trying to replace him though. Wolfsburg will sell van de Ven for a fee they deem worthy, we're yet to match it, just like with Leverkusen and Tapsoba, therefore in typical Spurs fashion we start looking for the cheaper alternatives.
You're the one dismissing reports that don't fit with your agenda and then trying to posh it onto others while also pretending sources said something which they clearly did not Case in point, here is what Alasdair Gold said this morning "The issue for Spurs is that every club and agent knows they are in desperate need of a new centre-back and so prices are being raised accordingly." Well look at that! It seems that a credible person is saying the same thing which I am saying about clubs increasing their transfer fees. Now, I wonder who else said that clubs were mentally increasing transfer fees...? Bayern ****ing about absolutely does affect us trying to sign a CB, because clubs are in the mindset that we will have plenty of cash so want a big slice of that - just like they did in 2008 in the summer of Keane & Berbatov getting tapped-up, just like they did in the summer of 2013 when Bale was getting tapped-up, just like Liverpool when Torres left and when Suarez left, just like Barca were when Neymar left - there is a demonstrable track record of this happening not just at Spurs, but to other clubs not just in the Premier League but in La Liga, so to dismiss it out of hand because you've decided there's no link makes as much sense as me walking into the Aston Martin showroom in Park Lane and when I'm told I can't buy one I go on Newsnight to whine about it If Wolfsburg wanted to sell van de Ven for a fee they feel is worthy they would name the fee, not move the goalposts and then say that same fee and a loan back gets him in a year. That is not following the market, that is taking the piss As for Tapsoba, remember what I've said....ooh, five or six times by now? Earlier this month they were facing the very real possibility of having none of last season's back three starting their first league game of the upcoming season what with us bidding for Tapsoba, Tah having a surprisingly affordable release clause active until a couple of weeks ago, and Hincapie getting injured on international duty in June, which would obviously be an issue as Xabi Alonso has Leverkusen play 3ATB - an issue somewhat lessened by Tah not leaving when his release clause was active, plus with them flush with Moussa Diaby cash the possibility of buying two starting CBs would be less daunting now than three weeks ago, and given Leverkusen haven't signed any starting CBs this summer that does ask a few questions about which dominos they have lined up
Clubs are allowed to do what's in their best interest including waiving transfer fees, refusing to negotiate and refusing to sell ... I have no idea how we can complain about a club doing any or all of the above tbh
No, you’re saying Wolfsburg want a loan back and are moving goalposts, that’s what I’m saying is untrue as you’re just believing a random report and trying to push that on us. I’m pushing what Ally Gold has said - which everyone on here is well aware is the most credible source of Spurs news. Funnily enough, I’ve already mentioned about clubs raising prices for our key targets here: https://www.not606.com/threads/transfer-thread-fact-and-fiction.343033/page-1795#post-16854924 Though that has nothing to do with Bayern as you keep insisting. Them chasing Kane does nothing to our pursuit for a CB and we should be prepared to pay a premium for our key targets, just as we expect Bayern to pay for Kane. Remember what Ally Gold said - it’s down to Levy to back his manager.
Totally agree. This has all the hallmarks of two summers ago when Cloud Kane hovered over everything, preventing us from properly backing a new manager. The writing is once again on the wall, although this time it is worse as he has one year left on his contract so whatever we do now has almost irretrievable consequences for player, club, or both. 1) Kane signing a new contract relieves the pressure on Levy to back the new manager, and Levy will take full advantage of that. It really is as simple as that and I am not so naive as to think that Levy will ever fundamentally change. This is why I think there is a now a hold-up with transfers. 2) Kane staying to see out his deal ramps up the pressure on Levy to show ambition, but doesn't provide him with the money to do so. 3) Kane leaving will ramp up the pressure to its highest, but provides a chunk of money to allow it to happen. Again, hold-up with transfers explained. This is why even though Option 2 is, I feel, the best for all involved (We get Kane for another year, Levy has to deliver the goods, Ange gets a world class player and club hero to help him through the transitionary period), I just don't think it will happen - simply because it demands the most from Levy and ENIC, which is delivering huge progress without a cash reserve to do it with, i.e. actually having to dig into their pockets. It'll be option 1 or 3 and both can easily drag on for the entire window. A deadline needs to be set for both him and Bayern. This is our asking price for him, meet it by Aug 1st or piss off. The spanner in the works is if Bayern don't match that price, then what? Kane holds all the cards, which is the best outcome as it (hopefully) pushes us closer to option 2. But will Levy blink and accept a lower offer? Not on Aug 1st, that's for sure. He'll hope that by making them sweat, they'll panic and meet the asking price by the end of August. Which is why, sadly, the likeliest scenario and the one I'm betting on, is Kane leaves on deadline day and Ange and the squad are left up proverbial creek without a digeridoo.
Tottenham riots part two if that happens. Though I don’t think that’ll happen. Kane will either have been sold before then or told he’s staying til January at least. No way we’ll allow ourselves to be Berbatov’d again, I genuinely think Levy would have to stay away from the stadium if he done that, people would try and get at him and it’d be very ugly.
Happening now with West Ham. Everyone ups their price when Karen comes knocking ( am I allowed to say that? ) , because they have £105 mill burning a hole in their pocket.
