Our turnover is not going to double this year, nowhere near, the new TV deal doesn’t even start until the 2024/25 season.

Pointless discussion anyway, Darlow’s out of our league now and we’ve quite rightly moved on to other targets.

As long its a keeper that can score 15-20 goals next season I will back that. You do agree that scoring goals has been our problem?

I'm going by the current TV deal. I'm comparing 2021-2022 with 2023-2024 which is an estimate but we are in a very different situation.

"However, InsideFutbol reports that the Cherries have been put off the Magpies’ £5 million asking price for their frozen-out goalkeeper. That quoted fee is believed to be ‘wide of the mark’ from what Bournemouth want to play, but Eddie Howe has been vocal about the club’s need to recuperate money on stars, as well as splurging this summer.

Should Bournemouth pull out a move, it could reopen a path for Championship side Leeds United, who had also been lined with signing the 32-year-old."

I still have this feeling that us moving on from Darlow could in reality mean making it clear we're not interested in a permanent deal due to the asking price, and waiting for him to become available for loan again when the deadline is close and Newcastle have a decision to make...

He's not even second choice at Newcastle so, as you say, they might have to get what they can for him on loan.

I have always thought it strange that Hull City used Jacksons as their auditors. It must be due to them only charging £7,500 for the audit and the Allam's thinking they can bully them.

The latest accounts layout looks very unprofessional. The note for Tangible fixed assets is spread over two pages: the headings are at the bottom of the earlier page and the numbers are at the top of the later page. Even if the accountants used Word or Excel to prepare the accounts it is easy to have the whole note on one page. My accounts production software does it effortlessly too.

It just comes down to whether anyone will pay for him on a permanent. A few days ago it looked like Bournemouth were going to, but that seems to have gone quiet now...

There's others willing to pay a loan fee above what we are, the only way we will get him is if it's last minute and he's not gone elsewhere, it's a dangerous game that I'd rather we didn't play.
