Weathers not too bad here at the moment. Hoping to be able to Sandtex the mother-in-laws garage before it rains later.

Long old day yesterday... grad ceremony then into the garden reception for fizz and beers, from there to a pub called The Woodville where we stayed all afternoon (cricket on the big screens) before back to the student union to hand back gown and cap - couple more in The Taf (uni bar) then on to The Botanist to eat at 7:30 (very tasty grub but well over priced) ... left around midnight ... not done an all day sesh like that for quite some time ... just about to have proper bacon rolls (bacon from local butcher in Canton) thick cut and no white stuff bubbling out as it cooks ... lovely ... weather horrid ... very lucky with lovely sunny day yesterday..

    Legendary place.

Last time I was in there was after a Johnny Marr gig at the Great Hall.

    Was also pissed!

Got these to try later. From a new tap house that’s just been set up near me. Did a swap at an event we were both trading at yesterday.

    Will report back

Dunno about any promo codes. They are a micro outfit who've only started up in the last couple of years

Might be worth chatting to them direct though. Two good lads, Tristan and Tom.

    Go into Google .

Type BARBIE and hit enter .

Okay so the lager is superb. Crisp, full flavoured but still really light and smooth. No horrible tangy, sugary aftertaste. Really clean.

The Pale Ale is also light and crisp, but maybe lacks a little bit of flavour. Could do with a bit more of that biscuity hit. Still very drinkable

The IPA is wonderful. Has got that really good balance between malt and hops, full flavoured, fruity with a good citrus top note. Not too heavy.

Overall very very good. Really clean beers. Easy drinking choices

Still find ale grim. Probably try again in ten years.

I think a lot of the new Pale Ale's are a bit insipid tbh, Brewdog Planet Pale the best out of the lot, well the ones I've tasted anyway

I would have said the same, but if you get a good Pale ale it can be ****ing superb.

I'm not a fan of dark ale drinks or stout whatseover.

A good crisp lager is my go to, so if I have a Pale Ale I want it to have a bit of bite.

That Lacuna one is very nice, and very drinkable, but if I didn't know better I would have said I was drinking a lager.
