I think he comes across as confident and has a good presence for being so young. I also believe that he thinks quickly with the ball at his feet so has more potential in his passing game, granted that will come with mistakes, but they will reduce...Ederson makes mistakes.
If that is the point why give half the squad only 20 minutes? why not 45 minutes for each half of the squad or the 60 minutes for each half of the squad like Grimsby?
Are you sure you mean the same player? He lacks confidence Lacks presence, and doesnt think quickly with the ball He made one mistake in 20 minutes Will they reduce to one mistake in 30 minutes?
A goalkeeper is so vital to the team that I would spend extra on a good one. Being cheap will have consequences.
Im telling you what I think and Ive heard what you have to say, although you say it as fact, I'll just take it as what you think also. I note that you profess to know more than goalkeeping experts, I'm sure your great.
I think Greaves is a better centre back than a left back If he leaves I wonder what position he will be played in?
I think I'm a better judge than them about TLT So Steve Evans and the French youth team manager are goalkeeping experts?
TLT is ****e, not much more I can put to strengthen that statement don’t think there is much more anyone can put. Whenever I’ve seen him play he looks to me like he’s been plucked from the crowd and told “ go on lad ave a go “ but honestly, it’s only my opinion so who ****ing cares….
️ “We should probably have scored five or six, seven goals. I'm really happy with our approach play into the final third.” Wow. Wake up Rosenior .... or at least stop talking ****e! Almost as bad as "we looked really good in the warm up"
I'm sure I saw the GK coach demonstrating how he should stand in anticipation of making a save, during the warm up. Not a great sign. Looked like he was coaching a 10 year old
It just looked like proper basic stuff to me. This is how you should stand if a shot is about to come in. For context this was just after he'd let a couple of soft ones in during the drill
He’s obviously low on confidence as he went into pre season on the high of the Stevenage loan thinking he could push. Hasn’t reacted well to the Gala game where he struggled. He’s a France u20 and highly rated by the people at the club, he’ll go on loan to a lower level and show his potential.
There are three former goalkeepers on here as far as I know that have played to a good level, I'm the lowest ranked of them in terms of level played and I think you're being incredibly harsh. If you're going to talk about him "not being good enough", what metric are you measuring that against exactly? The statement "Tim LT isn't ready to be first choice" is accurate. "He's not good enough" is not. Have a look through the Championship squads and tell me how many 20 year old goalkeepers are currently second choice in their respective first teams. There are currently two, to save you the trouble, both of which play for teams which will almost certainly sign another goalkeeper. Goalkeepers tend to peak later than outfield players because they spend their early years as back ups and cup keepers, making sporadic appearances here and there or go out on loan. It's far and away the most difficult position to make a career in because you're constantly behind people who've made appearances, it's much harder to explode onto the scene like a forward player does. Tim has a really good career ahead of him, I don't know why people are judging him so harshly in pre season where his mistakes mean absolutely sod, just like the rest of the team.
