We seem to have gone more direct recently, not faffing as much at the back. Last 2 games we seem to try fizz it to the striker to hold up. Worked well first 11 with Delap with Tufan off him. Oscar and Tetteh just weren’t on the same wavelength. Oscar could win headers, Tetteh would be miles away
Yea Yeah I get all that, LR said his first job was to stop us conceding and now we’d see us been better going forward…..I just don’t see it. Yes it’s pre season where “it means nothing” so no pressure. So isn’t the ideal opportunity to take the handbrake off and let’s see the second part of the plan. 2 weeks from now the pressures on
Don't think many Goalkeepers stand much of a chance on here really. I see potential and certainly wont be writing him off after a couple of pre-season errors.
Playing out from the back quickly! Goalkeeper passes to defender who quickly passes to somebody near the half way line Nothing wrong at all
I know its only preseason. But this is one of the best constructed goals we've scored under Rosenior. Delap's hold up play is certainly tying things up nicely
Most managers think the owners want to hear the aim is to have a smaller squad (= lower wage bill) They will still try to get a bigger squad
