People have got to stop taking what managers say as the truth. You see the truth by their actions not their words
I think your seeing what Liam tells you is happening and what he wants, rather than what your eyes tell you
Ingram didn’t have a good save to make, the entire 75 minutes he was on. I for one don’t fall for Rosie’s words and like you am waiting for it on the pitch. But I do think we are getting there
That old Paul Mersin line springs to mind, about you watching it thinking it was ****e, and then he glosses it over the way it does and you’re convinced by it, that it wasn’t all that bad. Scott Parker esque
Just because Ingram didn’t have a save to make doesn’t mean we was brilliant and created a load of good chances
Every manager does. He can't come out and be honest, he'd lose half the dressing room. We've got to do the best with what we have. I'm pretty certain he'd flog Oscar tomorrow if he could and bring in 3/4 players that suit how he wants to play I think he'd love to flog Sinik too, and Fleming and Woods along with a few others
I see quite a few parallels between Rosenior and Scott Parker. Both young, inexperienced managers who have a point to prove but ****ing hell do they both waffle on with no substance a lot of the time. I’ve no doubt Rosenior’s doing a lot of hard work on the training ground and trying to get signings in which is like spinning plates but he just needs to learn to shut up sometimes and stop feeding the media and fans these tidbits of positivity. He sounds like a politician at a party conference.
I recall losing to Winterton Rangers 2-3 one year, and the doom and gloom merchants said, to a man, 'we'll go down'.. We went up instead. Friendlies are called that for a reason.
But the strategy was to trim the squad Shark... not add another 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 to it. If we sell Oscar, bring a striker in... we need a keeper, but we also have dead wood too that we need ship out... trouble is, has anyone asked about the ones who wont get in the first team...
It’s an interesting question. I think if we aren’t hovering around the play offs by christmas it wouldn’t be looking good. As long as we are within 6 though I can’t see him pulling the trigger
That's not true, the aim is to improve the squad and add more depth. The squad was awfully short in quite a few areas and that needed addressing
If we got £7m+ for him, we’ll be lauging. A quality wide player with goals and we’d be in a much better place.
It's funny, I said a fair few times last season that people judge a performance based off the result. I remember the QPR game where Connolly won us the game and on here there were all the usuals saying how good the performance was, which really made me laugh as it was the worst we'd played in weeks. Today was fine, we played well, but just didn't finish. Slater's goal was delightful. It certainly beats last year where we were spanked by P'boro
That was in January and what he actually meant was that he wanted to shift players who weren't good enough. If you want a smaller squad, why does he want 4 out and out strikers? Why are we trying to sign a backup left back when we've already got Greaves?
