Finished 0-2. Steady enough against a good quality opponent, second half not as good as first especially after the 6 changes. Biggest disappointment was lack of chances we created or rather didn't create. Lots of work to do offensively. I thought Struijk had a very decent game
Very poor. We huffed and puffed but with the slightest press we collapsed. It was an easy training game for Monaco. We are very, very average and promotion is a pipe dream with this squad. We are appallingly poor going forward and the defence fall apart when the opposition have the ball in our final 3rd. What summed it up for me was the goal kick where Meslier left it to Cresswell who passed it to Meslier which dumped us right in the fkn ****! Everyone may disagree but we look exactly the same as we have for the last few years. Toothless going forward and **** at the back. It was only a pre season friendly for Monaco, it needs to be a wake up call for us.
We won’t be playing anyone as organised or as good as Monaco in the championship. Nobody needs a wake up call, Farke is experimenting and we’re expecting 3-4 new faces, this game was perfect, Farke will have found a few answers. We know signings are in the pipeline, I wasn’t expecting a positive result today, another game for Sinisterra to gain match fitness, a good run out for the new signing, I don’t get the dismay
We passed the ball well, but we are in desperate need for some creativity, and without it, our front line were just twiddling their thumbs.
Today we were screaming out for a 10, which is an integral part of Farke's system, Summerville didn't work, kept drifting out to the left leaving space in the middle, I'd expect a signing for there.
