As for "Jenson only won because of saftey cars" Wasn't he the cause of them? Its not like when vettel flucked a red flag thanks to petrov. Youv'e got to take the incident as a whole. A saftey car is lucky. A 50/50 collision with Alonso resulting in a saftey car and puncture is not.

Wasn't Seb rather fortunate in Monaco? First, they had that tyre change "mix up" where they put him on the wrong tyre, which then turned out to be a great move, and then there was the Red Flag tyre change that saved both his and Alonso's skin as Button was biding his time, waiting for them to get to the end of their tyre's performance life, which seemed very likely to happen well before the end of the race?

To be fair to Seb though, he's put in so many great drives that can easily be passed off as his great car making it easy for him, we're perhaps a little blind to how good some of them have been.

But you should take into account when a driver is 'zoned in ' to a car they can drive a lot harder and trust it a hell of a lot more than one where there are doubts.

If he was in any way responsible for that incident, he would have been punished. The stewards have been pretty hot on punishing guilty McLaren drivers all year (not to mention a good few innocent ones).

I thought the accidents were caused by Hamilton and Alonso myself, Alonso thought Button was gonna concede like he had in previous seasons but Button wasn't going to be bullied by a Ferrari on cold tyres, it was a foolish move IMO, he'd lost the place, and knew when he came out of the pit exit Button was going to have it, but went for it anyway, that was my view of it, if it had gone the other way I think they may have penalised Alonso as it didn't look like he was going to be able to take the 2nd part of the chicane properly.
