Loads of you lucky buggers might see them tonight. Keep a look out. Northern cities might see them between 10 and 12. I am a midlander so would love to hear if any of you see them.

This is from the last few times they've been seen at South Shields.

They are and you can get better views again if you go to the top of Scotland. My mate is massively into it and he said they'll not really be visible tonight for whatever reason.

Ha, I’ve just spent last weekend at Haltwhistle with my lass. Not a million miles away from Carlisle. It pissed down all the time and the dark clouds never shifted.
I lived just outside of Haltwhistle for many years and can confirm that pi55ing it down and dark clouds is the default setting for the weather for about 90% of the year - the rest of the time it snows!!!

I was looking forward to some nice walks but yeah the weather spoilt it. Beautiful little place, though.

When I worked offshore I used to get picked up at Washington services by a lad that lived in Melkridge. He was often late due to the weather over there.

The golf course there was pretty grim. A wet, misty day with no shelter. One hole was so steep the ball kept rolling back to me.
