    Question is in the article!

I just wondered, cos Im alot more interested in seeing Ireland do well this summer. I've become so bored with England, and their constant high expectations, and poor performances.

Its always the same, the media will go and on and on, about how surely its Englands year. The supermarkets will release, all that cheap merchandise (St George, inflatable chair anyone?) And good old England will just do what they always do! Flop.

With Ireland though, I can see them really wanting to prove a point, and show they are a decent team. They've got the team to do well. And, you can have no doubt that the Green Army will turn out in force in Poland. I can see them getting to the Quarters at least. I sort of sense a Greece from 2004 in a sense. Would be good to see.

No, because although England do bore me and although I dislike Capello and his bias towards the big clubs...I will always support my country.

However, I really do hope Ireland do well and that all the other home nations can start qualifying for major tournaments.

Absolutely not! I live in Ireland and most of them love nothing more than to see England loose, I hope we draw them in our group and batter them!

I think Wales could have a good chance. They seem to be playing good football lately and scoring plenty of goals.

Aye, and very much enjoyed the highlights from the Norway game. I must admit, im suprised. I honestly didnt think much of Gary Speed as a manager. As he wasnt all the good for Sheff Utd. But, I'm happy for to have proved myself, no doubt many others wrong.

Its a fair old time! Just think, alot of the younger players in the Scotland set up, wont really remember it that well. I dont. I was abit too young to take football that seriously back then.

Er no I'm English! Very unpatriotic. People have only fallen out of love with England because it is beginning to dawn on people we're not that good, and we've had 50 years of over expectant public pressure! Take the current manager. He has done a fantastic job with what he has at his disposal. His record is impeccable. He's loathed in this country because it is easier to blame the foregin manager than actually say "Er actucally we're about 15 years behind technically and need to improve" **** he even got criticised the other night when he masterminded a win against the best team of the last 20 years. He picks players we all wouldn't but every manager does. The results speak for themselves.

The Irish ****ing hate us in sporting terms anyway and always wish the worst for us. I still can't bring myself to wish them to fail, I still find myself cheering them on. I like to see it as being the bigger person!

On the subject of the Scots, I watched their 21's last night, and if that is the general standard of player their coaching is producing, we may not have to wait long to see them grace the finals again. Although like all the celtic nations they wish nothing but bad on us!

I can empathise with this. With an Catholic Mother from Armagh, the Republic were my 2nd team and I'd have fanatically supported them in every game bar a game against England, right up until the age of 19 when I moved to Belfast. The hypocrisy from their fans, who claim to hate England and their players, and yet 90% of the time, stroll around with those very same players, stamped onto the back of their Manure/Bin Dipper shirts is ridiculous...

Having said that, I'll still be cheering them on and keeping everything crossed that Best can a) make the squad and b) have a good tournament!

I'll have both shirts in the summer providing there's no calamitous implosion on the part of the boys in green tonight...Best on the back of the Ireland one, and as there isn't a single England player I like enough to warrant it, I'll have Sir Bobby on the back of that (as usual...)

As someone born in Scotland and now "exiled" in England for the past 14 years, I have no beef with any nation (used to dislike France but for some reason I love that country now.....) I support all the home nations and wish them well. Alas it seems I am in the minority
