I’m down old Trafford Saturday, obviously not for cricket now Sunday sold out but weather looks pretty bleak both days
I’m in Liverpool and it’s been raining here since 4. It was heavy then and now it’s drizzling and dark outside. I’m assuming Manchester won’t be to dissimilar.
Cracking effort yesterday. Oz looked befuddled and playing for time. But I don't think we should play the weather here. Get as many as we can, and that sometimes goes belly up anyway, but just bat. The way pitches are now with the super drainage, I'm think we'll get a fair bit of play on Saturday and Sunday. The forecast is for rain, but not all the time, and sometimes it just misses places. Odds are about even for us to win and even for a draw, so they probably know better than me, but Id worry about tomorrow when it came, so if we can bat long, bat long.
Aye. Forecast has got worse overnight. Be lucky to see any play before 3pm and that might just be The Ashes right there
I think it is, mate. I don’t see how we force a result here. I reckon there’s no more than 50 overs left in this game and that’s a stretch. I’m passing Ladbrokes in half an hour. They’re offering double your money for the draw. Tempted to throw a couple hundred down.
It’s really brightened up now. Hopefully we get most of the day in, if not all of it. Is it possible to put a roof on the cricket. The big hits would smash into it and it would surely massively favour the bowling side.
Disagree mate. I wear my colours all over the place. I don’t go to Newcastle with them on though. But at sporting events I’ll wear my safc shirt
