    See Bishop is in the UTD squad for their pre season trip abroad. Looks like we might have to wait until the end of the window for that one. Or look elsewhere.

    In terms of the "experienced" defensive midfielder Messengo is available on a free. He's only 21 but played over 100 championship games. Represents good value and a decent amount of games for his age.

    I think a veteran would be the way to go. I don't see the logic in signing someone the same age as Patterson unless it means we intend to sell him, which seems unlikely.

    Experienced keeper to mentor and be a safe pair of hands, Patterson in the middle as first choice and one or two like Matt Young getting games here and there would be right for me.

    Reminds me too much of Rodwell. Highly rated but has not lived up to the talent.

    Yes, I’m aware of his interview with Gary Neville. Still doesn’t change the fact that he hasn’t lived up to that potential tbf!
