Shame about Jose. Would have loved him back here but can see why Martin wouldn't have been keen, having an older popular player in the background isn't ideal for a new manager who needs a relatively quick start.
Who says Martin wouldn't have been keen? Maybe he was keen, but the club couldn't get a contract agreed? Or maybe we wanted to wait to clear down our CB backlog & Jose didn't want to hang around? There could be lots of reasons why this didn't happen.
I'm just assuming tbh. Think he could have unintentionally undermined him and if we had a bad start it wouldn't have taken long for some fans calling for Fonte to replace him.
Ings rumours all over Twitter at the moment, we can but dream At best a loan with both clubs sharing his massive wage or West Ham might just pay him up to get rid so might happen in a dream world
There were rumours a couple of weeks ago that Ings was going to Leicester, so at least there seems to be smoke that he is leaving. Scamacca and Antonio both rumoured to be off aswell so not sure if West Ham would let all 3 of their strikers leave in the same window
I'd Imagine Borges is coming into replace 1 of the attackes, and they are also interestedin Broja. that leaves one more striker to come in.
I can see Burnley taking a punt on him again. Unless there is another team left that plays in Claret & Blue?
West Ham have a good young striker coming through called Divin Mubama, plus of course some serious dosh from Rice.
