Doh!! Someone has to take the picture. On another note, anyone think the site server seems a bit slow today?
1 big one or two little ones, depending on Maxi fee, which is trending higher than 25m euro thankfully.
Yeah, I read somewhere that Howe has decided better backup for Trippier is a higher priority than a better starting LB, hence our pursuit of Southampton's RB. Howe would prefer to be able to strengthen both sides, but FFP is apparently limiting us to one or the other and he's happier with Targett backing up Burn at LB than he is Ashby for Trippier.
I could be wrong but although Livramento predominantly plays RB hasn't he also played LB anyway? I can't be bothered to go back and check but I think he's able to do both? @Libby to confirm - not that we've bought him yet, or I'm even that convinced we're going to in fairness.
Agree, it seems their valuation is way off our offer, so this one may not happen. Reports suggest he also wants first team football as part of his injury recovery and so may well stay at Saints for another season.
Happy to see us move Max on, for a decent price too. Saudi's got more money than brains For him it's a fine deal, he gets to run off and make insane money beyond his wildest dreams and beyond his skill set.
I don’t know why we have signed Barnes as we have so many players in that position. I know he’s a good player and we are shipping out ASM. But we need other positions strengthened. Can he play where Miggy does?
He's an out for out improvement on Saint Max, so I can see why they did it. But I agree other areas are more urgent. In truth, I dislike how much money we have been splurging on younglings that won't even get sight or sniff of the first team for years.
