    How does it look, I mean I know it's a preseason friendly so can't tell a lot, but how rusty do we look?

    Good workout. Getting no more carried away with the win as I was when we were 2-1 down - the result is utterly irrelevant. What I am buzzing about is the energy.

    - players haven't got their full touch yet, but no probs, there's a few weeks for that.

    - Jota looks keen, even without the goals. Oh for an injury-free season from him and Diaz, And with Doak on the bench to come on for cameos and early cup ties... :tongue:

    - Dom brings energy to the midfield, Mac brings guile, but we still need a no6 imo.

    - Gakpo gets better and better each game, and I for one am sorry I doubted him.

    - Can't let Kelleher go - that's not a back-up there that I'd trust any more than Karius.

    - Did I mention the work rate and constant movement? And in that heat too.

    Good start that, and we'll see as the pre-season develops if we can keep that buzz and intensity. But that was sound. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Doak. FFS don't loan him out, because even if he's on the bench for most matches he'll get on and run tired defences ragged. He will. He is the real deal. Quansah looked solid too.

    It is and results is meaningless but it would have given a rare glance to many who don't get to see them play often, how well they fit in with the more household names.
