just a bit of a reality check of what 3 zero commitment senior players deciding to leave does to a squad being put together after losing 4 dead wood.

 

How many things did they help you win or come close in?

You can't call zero commitment on players who may be thinking their game time could now be limited and get an offer of a final big pay day. They have done their bit now deserve to get a bumper pay off.

but if you were Jones after getting a.few games at the end of a disastrous season but seeing macallister arrive or Elliott who was dropped for Henderson and has seen szoboszlai arrive.... well would you not want to be stood front and centre in front of klopp with your hand up before he buys more?

they are likely to only be bit part so having thst little time.off probably won't even affect their young selves.

b) all people need some time away from their job
c) Jones will play and has the great advantage of being CG & HG

 

No I’d prob want a bit of time off so when season gets going I’m not ****ed and end up getting injured / fatigued.

And I’d expect my manager to tell me the exact same thing.

 

You'd want to but the club should be saying no. Younger players playing too much are more at risk of picking up injuries later on which will happen their career
