Think they made a notable effort of playing around the high press. Teams know to commit men forward and we played over it. Problem was Tetteh was off last night and couldn't hold up well and Oscar did ok. Beyond that there was a chasm between attackers and midfield so even if they did hold up it took a while to connect things when playing longer. Also, I dont think this season is realistically a promotion push. It's another year of bedding in with a stabilised squad finally. Our core players are finally tied down and that's been showing in my opinion with players like Macca, Slater and Vaughan who got contracts really showing their class this preseason. Baby steps but the building blocks are there
It’s amusing that they would rather gridlock half a City for hours on end, causing many thousands of people time and money, than stop the trains and ferry maybe a couple of hundred people on buses, countries ****ed.
They didn't have that option, neither the trains nor the roads were operating, there was no power and the barriers were down.
I tend to agree, anything top half this season would be okay for me. If we get the rub of the green we might sneak into the playoff's but I agree I think we are a season away from being the finished article.
They do it on purpose to create interaction in the form of clicks & likes etc as this is a huge driver for revenue
