have you guys seen the Fenway project? the area is quite different to anfield and there's massive massive profit to be made from their scheme it's very very little to do with the ordinary red sox fans. andield area is not the same and there are two or 3 disgusting sites around anfield they could buy but won't the council are shameful for what they have allowed round that stadium complex. it's like a red brick monstrosity dropped randomly into a run down **** hole cos that's what the council seem to want. you've a huge park and green area that's not really maintained brilliantly beside on of the most iconic and desired to visit stadiums in the world. you've nothing but **** and cheap housing round it and absolutely zero efforts to exploiting what should be a year round employment hub and tourist hot spot.
I absolutely love Diaz. He hit the ground running and showed up some of our other players for effort and commitment to the cause. Yes, he hasn’t scored as many goals as probably should have, let’s give him a chance before throwing him out the club after only 1 season.
yes it is. it's 90% council. fsg could buy up every plot and do do things with them. thr plot for thr "hotel" is derelict since the main stand went up and is on sale for a pittance. not action from fsg. no interest. the plot opposite the kop (not really opposite) was for 4 shops. a Gregg's I think? planning was let lapses on it. no offer to take it over. they could easily buy th le Church if they put enough down for them to go build. there's patches of ground all round. the paths are a disgrace. there are bits and pieces of broken signs and bollards and all sorts. Weeds growing all over etc. What we are talking about here is (with no arrogance, its just fact) one of the premier attractions in england. This is outside of matchday. 250,000 people do the tours when theres no games on. add in another 1.2million fans for actual matches plus 3 gigs. when you consider the single most iconic destination in the city is the cavern club and that gets 850k total That the surrounding areas around anfield have is opportunities for employment, opportunities for better standard of living and better conditions and the council imo just completely let the whole thing down. FSG cannot be responsible for public transport in the area but there is absolutely no need to think about rail. what they should be doing is putting in bus corridor etc to make this all work as a destination. It'd be nice for the local peopel to have real public transport though as well.
Not so sure anyone was saying throw him out the club I think it was more a if we are offered good money would it be worth letting him go Absolutely he was lively last season So was Nunez however if someone offers a 100m for Diaz is it worth letting him go ? for me I was agreeing that if the money is right (no idea where that line is ) I would say yes he isnt embedded into our squad as a critical player yet (Alison being an example of that) and there is a chance he will be injury prone - I base that not on last season just the way he plays - the guys gives 100 percent in everything We also don’t know how his end product is going to finish up No problem With him staying - was just debating the sale of him cause think someone said a bid had been made which is where it all started - I think
Harry Maguire is demanding £20m payoff before leaving Manchester United as he is surplus to requirement.
sounds to me that FSG are doing the right thing - I don’t want the club to buy a money pit unless there’s a clear business case with a quick return. The council needs to facilitate this imo.
I just think there is no need for LFC to buy these lands but if FSG were "serious" they'd buy all of the available lands and get into this real estate as there's really a lot of money to be made. The hotel site is absolutely the pits. The site across the road is nice to have. But 90% of this is down to the council. They could have the roads and access all taken care of and making a killing off running transport in the area. As i said theres about 1.3million visitors a year (the majority local granted) that can be catered to
I wouldn’t want to be in construction in the U.K. cheap money is no more, sky high prices for materials, Labour and land and inflation and Labour availability is not under control - that’s not to mention the stupidly slow, expensive planning process.
players going to saudi? firmino (was this always the case and did he shaft us?) fabinho Henderson (the shcoker) Thaigo (say he wasn't interested, will more cash convince) Diaz (rumours starting) I'd hope that the diaz stuff is pure rubbish and he is looking for a pay bump. I'd hope thaigo stays and goes to barca on a free. I'd have no issue with a man doing that. fabinho is gone. henderson should be getting the warning signals that this club is not to be trusted.
Really pleased for you mate. Just need the sun to show itself a bit more for you to enjoy a bit of outdoor recovery.
oh you just couldn't possibly make up how thick Chelsea are. If they solve man utd's issues by purchasing this actual turd of a player and then block colwill's progress and ensure he won't sign a new deal it'd be hilarious. the funny thing is maguire has always played LCB and Chelsea have just sold off koulibaly and have badishile for that position and their actual problem is fofana at RCB.
