Think Hall Road are settled now at Haworth Park. We played them there back end of the Junior season and seen them advertising for people to help out refurbishing it. Think Hull United might be moving in to Haworth Park too and have a big grant for refurbing it.

I went into Hull for a bit of Sunday lunch, what a disaster it is trying to get around at the moment. A63 shut from the Smith & Nephew flyover, so you have to go through the city centre, but there's roadworks at Queens Gardens and it's a single lane permanently blocked by traffic coming from one direction, so you just get stuck until you can turn around and go a different way. Avoided that route on the way out, but the lights on George Street weren't working, so had to turn around and go back down Ferensway, which was moving at a snails pace. It took twenty five minutes to get from the end of Hessle Road to the old town, then thirty five minutes to get from the old town back to the A63. I'm giving it a swerve until they get it sorted.
I went to St Stephens yesterday, pretty quick journey both ways as nobody seems to use the bus lanes even though they can on a Sunday. I must have passed about 40 cars on Anlaby Road. Did go on marina a couple of weeks back tho and agree, carnage getting there and back, probably took about 45 minutes to travel the 4 or so miles back to Willerby.
Yes my lad lives on Kingswood and has to get home insurance minus the flood cover . I remember there being an agreement with Government and insurance companies after the floods has that gone as where I live also there's lots of insurance companies no longer give insurance
I’d you want bigger wider roads with more traffic on them, you have to put up with their construction.
I have no issue with them doing the Castle Street works, it will benefit the city and it's well worth a little short term aggravation. It's doing a load of other city centre works, while the A63 has to be completely closed, that's making it more than a little aggravation.
The A63 upgrade won't improve things that much, any breakdown/crash west of Vauxhall Tavern will still see huge tailbacks as is the case now with two lanes open. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Bleedin' Hell, this thread's in danger of turning into an episode of Early Doors... You know the temporary traffic lights.....top end of Piper Street, past McVities, up to the bank on Birdhall Lane. There's talk it's all going to be one way now. Yeah, that means I'm gonna have to go, uh, left down to the, uh, traffic lights at Oldsworth Square all right, come back on myself, rejoin it at the bottom of Escort Street. I've worked out that it's going to put at least 10 minutes on my journey time.
Hull has a history of diabolical road works. 2/3 years ago it was officially the road work capital of the UK according to Sat nav officials.
More deserving of recognition than any of the present ones. She was a pioneer. And a very pleasant, knowledgeable lass to talk to.
Shame. Does anyone remember Hull United playing from there? The owner, was it Jamie Waltham? was giving out lifetime passes for free. That must have gone well. Before them of course it was Hall Road Rangers, ran by Ted Richardson, one of the best amateur football clubs in the area. Hall Road ran a good club house in those days too.
