There's a long established gang of louts who are always looking for trouble. There's around a hundred of them which is quite a high percentage of their support. I expect they have little to live for so prison would be an upgrade. It's always the same routine ... walk down late from the station looking to pick off stragglers. A few PL away supports will be surprised by them but they rarely travel.
Apparently theres a bridge away fans need to pass under and they congregate around there and jump out and attack them. I heard this from a well known Boro hooligan i know who didnt go along with his regular crowd last season and just went with a couple of normal blokes. He sparked the biggest one out and the rest ran away. Bunch of wetwipes
That's dead right, a footbridge on the way from the station. Last league match I was walking down with Scotty from Sheffield and we arrived there at the same time as the older Peterlee lads. There was a standoff because we were outnumbered four to one. One of our lads said 'come on then, what do you need, permission to have a go?' They just stood there and we all walked off to the ground
It'll quickly do away with the "lovely little Luton" persona the media have about them once it happens a few times. And I wonder how the club cope with bad publicity?
Unless someone knows better they are no away pubs or even away friendly pubs. The tatty refreshment bar, in the corner of the away end, doesn't always open. At the end you're corralled in that back street. People on trains are made to get onto coaches that sit there for thirty minutes then crawl through town up to the station. The Luton fans tried to attack our lot, at the end of the play off game, and that's after they'd won ... ... if West Ham batter them 5-0 there'll be real disorder.
