All those big names we were linked with before Henderson, Fab, and Thiago were linked with buggering off... And now our entire midfield wants to leave there is no one left to buy.

Don't worry mate, when you finish outside the top four again next season you can claim it's another "transition year" we all do.

Maybe we will next season, but this season we'll claim it's a transitional year after we win the PL & EL double :emoticon-0165-muscl

1st year back in the top 4 for ages and check out the condescending tone to the team who have qualified for the last 6 years and won it. [HASHTAG]#delusional[/HASHTAG]
Best to concentrate on getting some players in mate as you're not getting top 4 again with that bunch.

Hard pass on Phillips. Poor injury last year. At 28 hardly has time in his side and no proof that he will ever be the same player was at Leeds.

if Phillips costs 20mil ok. otherwise forget it.

Pepe doesn't call a player out publicly for fatness unless there's an issue. I'd say he never actually wanted him at all.

for me though, phillip is not a 6. just cos southgate stuck both rice and phillips together as blockers doesn't make them top class 6s in the prem.

Arsenal will learn this themselves and frankly i don't really want to see a another Henderson type player running off anywhere he wants when we actually need a 6 to stand there and do the job.

We are doing ok at this point.

Konate is 6 foot 4
VVD is 6 foot 5 nearly
sloboszlai is 6 foot 1
Nunez is 6 foot 2
gakpo is 6 foot 4.
alisson is 6 foot 4.

now thats not the midfield zone where the head tennis might be happening but it is pretty big men with the guys out wide being shorter.

If you dropped on big man in there at 6. (thuram is about 6 foot 3 and lavia is 5 11) I would say thats a pretty big team right there.
