Bad luck H-L. That was a nail biter. S-B was amazing, but just fell short of a miracle 6 for the win.
Gotta get my heart to calm down. :emoticon-0152-heart
Good luck in the last ODI. England girls have done you proud mate. <applause>

Just needed another top order batswoman to stay in a little longer.
    Oh well!

    Congrats on the series win

Just needed not to concede 26 off their last over and drop 4 catches(again). The fielding has been the only thing to let them down, or they'd have won this series. Same as the men really, if we'd have caught our catches we'd be 3 up already !

The ladies blew that imo. It was a tough chase, but they were going along nicely and then, Jones (I think), threw her wicket away and Eccleston failed to review an LBW that always looked as though it was drifting down. That umpire gave a couple of awful LBWs. It was missing by a mile.
    Small details.

Well done to our ladies for taking the Ashes.
    Both sides did themselves proud.
Now we turn our attention to the men to follow suit.

Weather forecast for Old Trafford from Wednesday looks mixed. Wednesday and Thursday meant to be largely OK, but after that meant to be alot of showers throughout the remaining 3 days. They did say the same thing for the last game, so fingers crossed they are wrong again and we get the gane to a conclusion, and with the same outcome :emoticon-0100-smile

Ditto HB, but with the outcome reversed, obviously. :emoticon-0105-wink:

That's why they're called BARMY Army. It's in their title. :emoticon-0110-tongu
Looks more like the printer/web designer has just replaced Robinson with Anderson on their twitter site and said 'job done, I'm off to the pub'. <cheers>
But hey, the Great British Beer Festival waits for no man (or woman or whatever you identify with, even cats - see Kiwi's post 697 in the 'any Mxs out there' thread). :emoticon-0104-surpr

Final ODI in the Women's Ashes today at Taunton. England batting and got of to a shaky start slipping to 12/2 but have recovered to 68/2 from 15 overs. England need to win to tie the series 8 points each which although the Aussies have retained The Ashes, would be a good performance from the English lasses who were 0-6 after the 5 day Test and first T20.

And would also mean they win the T20 and ODI series ! Would be some achievement against that side

Hey Trammers, HB. Your girls have recovered magnificently and setting up a huge total.
280-8 atm. One over to go.
Hope it's as tight as the last ODI. And good luck to your girls. They've certainly held their own and deserve full credit for their efforts. :emoticon-0148-yes: :emoticon-0137-clapp

England have played well and deserve to share the points in the Women's Ashes, albeit the Aussies get to keep them.

Anything England can do, Aussies can do better (or should that be worse?)
21-2. We like you so much, we're mirroring you. <laugh>

They're saying the revised target favours Australia, but it seems the opposite to me. Six fewer overs, but target only reduced by 17.

So England's women win the T20 series and the ODI series, but the Aussies retain the Ashes.
